Do you know that gentleman too? Poor thing!
I'll call him Mr. Wartnose for the sake
Of privacy, of course. A heart of gold
He has! He is most kind in everything
He does, but his face! It would knock you cold,
Like it was made at the end of the shift
On a Friday, in haste and by mistake!
Oh dear! Oh my! His eyes bulge like a frog's
And, the poor man! His ears droop like a dog's.
His nose has a wart on its very end.
As for the rest, all's messed up in ways which
No plastic surgeon ever could quite bend!
The other day we wondered, was he biffed
On his head? "Oh my! Oh dear! Sad, so sad, "
We said, "Mr. Wartnose turned raving mad!
Let's help, fast", we said. "Sound all the alarms!"
But then we thought, "it can't do much more harm.
Not having looks, at least let him have charms."
Eye of newt! Bat's wing! Dabs of that and this,
And his spell worked! He really got a kiss!
