Aging - Enchantingly!

I gladly pay the price of starry eyes
To see into those truths which man denies.
I gladly sacrifice my rich, dark hair
To grow wise to the causes of despair.
I gladly pay the price of smooth, clear skin
To cultivate the beauty here within.
I gladly sacrifice my strength of arms
To keep myself restrained from doing harm.
I gladly pay the price of strong, straight teeth
To honor silence and to keep the peace.
I gladly sacrifice my winged feet
To guarantee that animals will eat:
I gladly sacrifice myself as prey
To honor the wisdom of Nature's way!
If the wages of sin is death, and I
Sin in wanting life carefree, may I die.
I gladly face the fate of feeding worms
To gain the magical feel in return!
