Liberating

There is magic - in just being alive!
Who needs the usual sources of drive?
Treasure what you have, and you have treasures.
Treasure Earth below, and the moon above:
What a catastrophe the moon would be,
Flying centrifugally that lone line
Into the void of space, eternally!
To fly thus, as neither rhyme nor reason
Sanctifies: being, for the sake of what?
To indulge itself in mere existence
As a huge rock, the object of vain thought?
But lo! The drawing force of Earth collides
With its aimless course, the pointless joy ride,
Her verdict, "Mediocrity denied!"
She harnesses its energy, but bends
Its course into this orbit. Thus she ends
The moonless nights and the tideless oceans.
It turns into the Lady Moon, as real
As the ebb and flow of cycles we feel,
A queen in the world of our emotions.
In this light we divine, and also heal!
That rock has become the very symbol
Of the divine feminine. And why not?
Minus the moon, would Earth hold life at all?
Without the tidal rocking, could life be?
All this, from Earth acting on a stray stone!
It makes tides roar, and the Priestess intone!
