Every day is - a poem, in some way
Distinct from yesterday and tomorrow.
So, how goes the poem of this day? Well?
Badly? What have I done to make it so?
What can I do to make it go better?
I exercised my body and my mind,
Paid my dues, remembered Divinity,
And did my best to atone and be kind:
I treated the animals with regard,
And now am going to visit my friend
In the hospital. If I bring him cheer
Enough, this day might come to a fine end.
Ask, what can I do to make it better,
And follow through. Do not give up, ever!
