The True Deities

Age Group: Adult
No mere person deserves a pedestal,
For alone we achieve next to nothing.
Yet, deities do dwell in me and you!
We can do deeds truly worthy of praise,
If we learn to let their radiance through.
A few even become well worth quoting,
Such as saints, or 'mahatmas', the great souls!
Even then, perfection is not a goal
Which is realistic for anyone.
Even Zeus is subordinate to Fate,
But does this mean that Zeus is not so great?
