Magical Island

Yes, never has anyone been an island. 1
Without the wisdom of accepting instruction,
The magic of learning is impossible.
Yet, without the magical island
Hidden beyond the horizon
For us to discover and to explore,
What is the point of being?
Without the magic, what is life all for?
Without the magic of experience,
The painstaking instruction and wisdom
Are in vain, and all is vanity. 2
Yes again! Let us feast our eyes
Upon the wideness of the sea! 3
And, although the reaching be a pain,
We have the glee of magic there to gain!
