Age Group: Adult
Here today, gone tomorrow, sometimes goes
The story of our lives. Who ever knows
For sure. Is today the last chance to say
Those special words, to try to save the day
The best you can, to make life worth the while,
Even if only by caring to smile?
It's now or never, is philosophy
At its best, being a guide to live by.
Dreams are nice, but they can't turn back the clock,
So why not live, so we may heed the knock
Of Death upon the door without the dread,
Regretting what life might have been instead?
Let's not make the all-too-human mistake
Of wasting time getting what we can't take!
May we cherish the time we have with friends
And loved ones before, not after the end!
