Dance the Divine

Dance the Divine
(slow, steady beat)
Feel the rhythm move within you
It's not that hard to find
It's your heartbeat. It's your Spirit
Come, dance the Divine
Let the rhythm take your body
Let the Light within you shine
Just close your eyes as you start to soar
And dance the Divine
(beat gradually increasing)
Your mind begins to spiral
As the beat begins to climb
The Lord and Lady join your steps
As you're dancing the Divine
The magic it consumes you
As our powers all combine
Release your woes and worries
As you dance with the Divine
(beats climbs frantically whle chanting 'Dancing the Divine', until it can go no faster and stops)
(slow, steady beat)
Feel the Light and Love surround you
Feel my heart and yours entwine
Ne'er forget the magic shared
When we danced the Divine
(1 beat)
Author's Notes: This is a dance I wrote to be performed with at least one drum. A whole drum circle would be great. There is no melody. The words are spoken. Try it out. Just let your body move with the rhythm. I find it to be very uplifting. It gets my energy flowing. Anyone who would like to use it in a circle or gathering is welcome to it. I only ask that you write me (annie_riacheal@yahoo.com) and tell me what you and everyone else thought and how it moved you.
