Gone

Gone is he,
to where thick trees grow,
and the flowers smell,
is crisp as snow.
Gone is he,
to the black song raven,
off to find
himself a haven.
And though I shall never see him,
I do not weep.
For I still meet him,
every night in my sleep.
He comes to me,
with many faces.
Comes to me,
always the same places.
Beneath the trees,
is his favorite.
Tells me he loves me,
a kiss, all I get.
But that for me,
shall be enough.
For now I find him,
in the one I love.
I love another,
but he shall always be,
the very first one,
to belong to me.
Gone is he,
to where old trees grow,
and the flowers scent,
is crisp as snow.
Gone is he,
to the black song raven,
but in another,
I find his haven.
Author's Notes: Written in grief, but still I'm proud of it.
