Three Ants on a Log

Once there were 3 ants floating on a log down a fast moving stream. The first ant nervous and impatient to make his escape leaped into the water and began swimming with all his strength toward shore. Quickly, he grew tired in the churning water and drowned. Weighing and considering all his options, the second ant decided to burrow into the wood, in the hope, one day the log would come to rest on a distant shore. Eventually, this fellow was destined to die of starvation.
The third, an ant of perception, waited until the moment was right and leaped to a branch from a low hanging bush. As the log continued on its journey along with the second ant, the ant of perception made his escape to shore.
The first two ants represent the majority of humanity, making decisions in the emotional and intellectual realm. The third fellow represents our intuitive ability or higher perception.
Each mode of consciousness is available to every one. Consider how you make important decisions? Which realms do you operate in?
