Till We Meet Again

Sitting here lost in thought
Full of so much distraught
Feeling my hands tied behind my back
Time I seem to lose track
I stare at my husband
Wondering if this will be the day
The day I don't know if I can withstand
The day the Lord takes him away
Trying not to show him my fears
But it's written across my face
Praying for us to have many of years
If not here, then in another place.
Author's Notes: My husband is ill and I dread the day that he's with me no more.
