My Happy Place

I see a picture of pure beauty before me
I feel so at peace with life there
It's one of my favorite places to be
All elements present; spirit, earth, water, fire, and air
The sounds that echo in my ears or
the pretty things I see lift my spirit high.
The smell of the earth is just beyond the pane
or sitting in front of me upon the ledge.
A most strong element my hands are deep within
the water takes me away to the oceans begin.
The warmth of fire is there too
I take in all the power from the flames I can.
The air is the wind that blows in upon my face
or that blows down on me from above.
While I'm at this place,
it's just me and my thoughts.
I gaze out up at space,
the beautiful moon takes any feelings of distraught.
Author's Notes: Well my poems are usually so serious, that I decided to write about my favorite place in my house. Dont laugh! It's in my kitchen at the sink, doing dishes. Theres a window right behind the sink and I love looking out at the moon and feeling the breeze blow in. I set my candles and flowers upon the ledge. My windchimes and suncatchers are hanging there too. And I have a little radio that sits on the ledge too. OK Now you can laugh. LOL. It's my life people, its always so serious that I find joy in the little things. Take it where I can I guess. Blessings to u all.
