Last Minutes of Mary Brown

The screaming and knashing, bone and breath, the flogging , the endless flogging.. Cold fog rising to drift aimlessly in the heap of onlookers, baited and drunken cheers for the sight. The overwhelming need to quinch the thirst. Broken and beaten, they bring her fourth. The light stinging smoke filled dry eyes. Torn and tattered, she struggles to move toward the means to her own end. Great drunken cheers continue. Accusations fly, "Release them" and "Harm them no more"... Surely this insanity will not provail. The hood comes and she raises her head to say no-! you will all see your sin this day. Noose at the ready and a squeeze, burns the supple neck. Leers and jolts from the maddened heap. The smell? ...The smell of bacon frying this morn. Bacon smells waffling through the town. Oh the taste of bacon and the smell warms me. Takes me back to a warmer place, next to the cooking fire. An explaination read aloud and the the lever pulled. The gods turn away, as not to see. A short drop... my eyes open to a five AM alarm clock... awake... yes awake.......sigh... panisch~
Author's Notes: This was taken from a dream I had. A dream of A woman accused of being a witch. I didnt remeber the name of the woman from my dream, so I gave her the name Mary Brown. It seemed The name of Plane folk. Just the sort that were put to death for witchcraft.... blessings panisch~
