I Cried Today

~ I Cried Today ~
I didnt cry when I went off to sleep, nothing inside and nothing to eat.
I did not cry when she left today, going somewhere and staying away.
I did not cry when brother fell ill, gazing out our dirty window sill.
I did not cry when she finally came home, falling down with some man all alone.
The land lord came today and I didn't cry. Where is she? Tell another lie.
We went to bed my brother and me, no water , no lights and nothing to eat.
I did not for a month and a day, til brother layed still and did not breathe.
I didn't cry when left all alone. The policeman said your brother is gone.
With no hope of tomarrow and no place to stay, my brother is gone so I cried today...
