~Eyes To See~

~Eyes To See~
I walk in light that fails me, to see that which eludes me. I dance to ending tunes that escape me. I fast for that which is hardly obtainable. I strive for acceptance that seldom nurtures me. I am difiant to those who wrong me, only to weep at their misgivings. I champion for those less than able, only for them to be forgotten in waste and self endulgence. I beg for those who do not have winning words of their own, only to offer up myself in self sacrafice. I play in the land of gods, only to grow low and insignificant.... still... to my lord and lady I bow- for they are that which I am. They are what binds me together and gives me eyes to see...Panisch~
Author's Notes: I wrote this as a reminder of my oaths as a witch. And to remind me that living as a witch is fraught with service and self sacrifice to those around me, who will often not know how I helped them. It is a reminder to speak for those who have no voice of their own and to shield the down trodden.
