Cry for Phoenix

Age Group: Adult
Flames ignited,
Age blighted.
From ashes, new life,
Ready to face future strife.
Rise again,
Know no pain.
Though past still lingers,
Flit past its fingers.
Rebirth, renew,
See the early morning dew.
Flames burning every morn.
Be that symbol sworn
To protect and heal,
Knowing the Great Wheel.
But unchanging,
Whilst forever burning.
Thy tears heal wounds,
Thy song resounds,
Always shining,
Always singing.
Rise again, Great Bird
So thy music is ever heard.
From fires, death and destruction,
The instrument of instruction,
Teach anew all you say
To those that greet you this day.
Ever more, you guide,
Those unable to bide
Without hope,
Who cannot cope
For without you there
No one would care.
You are candle aflame,
Searing away blame,
And my great shame.
Oh how you came!
Bringing ever to light,
Burn ever more bright,
Candle through day and through night.
Come now onto my sight!
Blessed be, guardian aflight!

Author's Notes: I wasn't sure how to classify this one... It came on me rather suddenly.. I was actually in the shower when I first started to hear it in my mind... *shrugs* It felt right to write it like this though, so it's better I got it out before it started driving me nuts like a few other things have that I didn't write down quickly enough. I'm not even sure it's finished but that's what I have of it now. If there is more, I'll change it when it comes to me. Blessed be!
