It Fades Away

What ever happened to the laughter?
When it faded away, where did it go?
Where are the friends and the smiles?
It has become too quiet.
No sound,
No noise,
Just silence.
Oh where did the laughter go?

Author's Notes: This is one of several poems I unearthed while looking through some of my stuff… I wrote them back when I was in middle school and in high school. Reading over them again, I can see some of the same messages that I write today. And I see that some of these, I was writing things I did not understand… then. Since coming into what I am, I can see the magic speaking through these rather childish words. Amazing how things seem to repeat, isn’t it?
Boy, this one is depressing... I guess I got so used to being laughed at that when people stopped laughing... I wondered what was wrong... *shrugs* Tis done now... And I guess I found some solace in the quiet...
