Tiny Child

Open eyes, tiny child.
White walls, while halls,
White lights all around.
You see light at last.
Nine months, you saw red and pink.
Open eyes, tiny child.
So bright everything appears!
You see without knowing.
White lights all around.
Look upon the world you entered today.
Windows, painting, clothes surround.
Open eyes, tiny child.
Colors bright, bold, soft,
Surround you now.
White lights all around.
Leave the white behind.
Go, into your life so new.
Open eyes, tiny child.
White lights all around.

Author's Notes: This is one of several more poems I found. When I wrote them, I’m not sure. Probably before I was taken out of that school in New Jersey where I almost lost my hold on this world. Possibly as reflections once I was out of there, remembering what happened to me there. I can’t remember and I didn’t date them. Some of them are pretty, some aren’t, some are obvious attempts to imitate some style I must have been either studying or interested in at the time. If you wish to comment, don’t hesitate to do so.
This one is one I know I was trying to imitate some style.. I don't remember what, but I do know that much... This must have been in high school sometime... Can't recall. Oh well.
