My Lord and My Lady

My Lord and My Lady
My Lord and my Lady, the world did you frame?
I knew you as the One, but I knew not your name!
I found you reflected in the fresh falling snow
In quiet surrender when I let my fears go
With eyes of young children, a girl, and a boy
Their innocent faces reflecting your joy
My Lord and my Lady your wisdom you have told
Through craggy frail faces and the lips of the old
You speak to us daily at work and at play
Through sparkling of stardust, the straight and the gay
Our Lord and Good Lady we pray Blessed Be!
That by your great wisdom you made us all free
You gave us our lives and a spirit so strong
And placed us in nature where we all belong
Now kindle within us your spark most Divine
To love and to kindness, the peace that is Thine,
In grateful expression we ask you to stay
In light and in wisdom to guide our way.
