Morning Devotion

Morning Devotion
Good morning my Lady, good morning my Lord
I bless you and thank you for life on this day
I pray you will guide me to follow your way
To share in your bounty with loving accord
And grant that my actions give honor and praise
To all you have taught me and bid me to be
To live every season harmonious and free
In peace, by your wisdom, the rest of my days.

Author's Notes: There is something compelling about a morning re-dedication. It need not be long or fancy, only honest and respectful. In this piece I tried to strike this tone.
