Evening Reflection
Good evening my Lady, good evening my Lord
I bless you and thank you with this passing day
For guidance, protection, at work and at play,
Your splendor and bounty for all you afford
The glorious daytime, the sunset sublime
The diamond-splashed velvet with moonlight above
We live in your presence at work and in love
With joy as we follow your rede for all time.

Author's Notes: A companion to my earlier "Morning Devotion, " this short reflection helps me remember the passing of each day, and my commitment to the loving care of our Lady and Lord. Together they form respectful and grateful "bookends" to the day.
