Elements of Raven

Their bodies glistened like waxen figures under the moon, as rain dripped through the trees at a slow intentional pace, slow as the tears cascading out of his crystalline eyes. He watched her as she slept; her natural beauty gave light to the world as never seen through human eyes outside burning walls. The tides of the moon and the rhythms in the earth heated her blood and she found herself reaching for her lover with trembling hands. In a moment of passion, time stood still and sound retreated from the energy of their world of two beating hearts; two souls flying into amber skies, torturing each other with promised of ecstasy and as they disappeared, the light of the world shrank until there was nothing but blackness.
Blackness as deep as her roar as she growled like a panther fixated in the red of his eyes mirroring the primal thrusts. For a fixed minute frozen in the heat of time the decay of the old world drifted away and the aura of a new amber day arose there was color once again. Colors collided and spiraled and danced fiercer than the thunder gods at play, and she could not help seeing all that she was reflected in his eyes and wondered what must her eyes show in this frozen second of lost perfection
