My Loving Twin I Seek
You.
You are in me.
You are in me as I am in you.
You have always been in me.
You have always been a part of me.
You are the curl of the shadow by which
Night yields into day, and day into night.
You are extravagant boldness;
The stillness born from strength and compassion;
The reassurance of unity;
You are destiny fulfilled.
Existence for each, is both tenderness and passion.
You exist because I exist;
Just as I exist because you exist.
You complete me, and I complete you-
And yet, we are incomplete till we find each other;
And we will never be the other—only ourselves.
You complete me as ripples in a pond.
I complete you as the sky supports the rainbow.
You are the ocean of my destination to the river of my being.
I am the horizon into which your sun vanishes each day,
and into eternity.
I hide in plain sight, much as you do.
Our camouflage is potent while mundane.
I have looked for you everywhere.
I have only found you within me.
One day, in the sweetness of a smile we will meet.
Till then, I guard from the world
The reflections which so far
I have only found in the
Soft secret folds
Of my heart.
