Adder's Poison

Adder's Poison
You are considerate and careful
Not to offend.
Your greeting warms with your smile
And you always listen, at least for a while.
Your lips reflect whole truth, not just part.
Honest expressions, gently from the heart.
You're kind and most caring
And with praise, never sparing.
You are fair and compassionate
With fairness dispassionate
You're loyal to a fault,
A reliable friend.
And some day when least expected
Kindness meets sermon...
Then none of these lessens the effects
Of the adder's poison.

Author's Notes: Sometimes you can not avoid negative energy. You did not ask for it. You did not "earn it." And in the final analysis, it was not directed at you personally. It was simply a piece of trash flying towards the trash heap. You just got in the way! It is not worth losing one's temper. We all throw our garbage and unintentionally some get hit along the way. Be kind, overlook the mistake, and your act will resonate with the rest of your behavior. The Law of the Three is always at work.
