True Colors

True Colors
I had a dream, or so I thought,
just when I did I don't recall
with colors green of peridot,
of red and gold, the leaves of fall
the whole a splash, a joyful sight
the magick stroke of nature's whim
and turquoise-soft reflecting light
which whispered passion to the brim.
Two pools of turquoise drew me in
adorned with silver like the moon
two circles flashing from within
averted from me all too soon.
On their return, my body weak,
my heart was pounding, I was lost
I knew this treasure I would seek
pay any price, bear any cost.
I dreamt of softness, tales unsaid
of smiles and laughter, lips so moist
and brilliant banter, hair of red
perhaps unsure, "Should it be voiced?"
Relax my friend, there is no need
to doubt the words you wish to say
I will not run from word or deed
for in your eyes I wish to stay.
