Sing a song I know so well
Touch a star and you can tell–
Life’s a mystery to us all
Till we heed another’s call.
Come and sit down by my side,
Let me take you by the hand
‘Cause you know I’ll understand,
I won’t ask you to decide.
In your eyes there is no fear,
Through the veil we see so clear–
Nothing promised, nothing planned
As our secrets we confide.
Sing a song of joy to me
Help me find the melody–
Deep within a jeweled sea
Constant, rhythmic, always free!
Let’s be children on a beach
Chasing seagulls on the wing
Speak your words and we will sing;
Live the dreams we cannot reach.
Let the moment be your goal.
Let me celebrate your soul–
Like the promise of the spring
Treasured moments to us, each.
Sing a song you’ve never sung.
In illusions we are young–
As the waves caress the shore
Let’s be friends, forevermore.
