My Focus Is Love

My Focus Is Love
Let me be your canvas.
Let me be your mirror.
Love is not static.
Love must be given away.
But you can not give love away.
In your bosom it stays.
Still you must try to give it away,
though your efforts will fail.
You believe you give love.
But what you give is something else.
Let me be your canvas.
Let me be your mirror.
You give acceptance, understanding, forgiveness and more.
You give kindness and patience, and space to be.
You give confidence where there is none,
support where it makes a difference.
You help reach some understanding,
you help make sense of a mess.
You give your empathy.
You give vulnerability and trust.
But love is an attitude and a habit which live in one's true heart.
Let me be your canvas.
Let me be your mirror for
my focus is love, and
nothing else matters...
