Man in The Moon

Age Group: Adult
The man in the moon cried out today.
It seems his lover went away.
The stars wept sparkling tears for his pain.
Would he ever see her again?
She left as he slept and the sun brightly shone,
She left his beautiful lunar home.
Why did she go and to where?
His beautiful maiden so fair -
The stars gathered him into their light,
They tried to save him from his blight.
But sorrow his heart did fill,
And the lunar light ceased to spill,
To light our way in the night -
So we?re cursed to the dark with no light.
