Found Myself at Last.
by Gram Alabaster
Age Group: Adult
I feel your skin on mine,
Your nails on my back making me bleed,
Everything is blissful and more than fine,
I smile as my pain leaves me feeling freed.
Is this who I am on the inside?
Do I like these painfully blissful trists?
Why does this make me smile and laugh?
Am I as my friends know me a darkly masochist?
Or am I as most people see me as a giggly type of riff raff?
Am I the advice giving friend with a shoulder to cry on?
I am that whole cursing bloody mess.
People know me for being such,
I know me for being just that.
I am this person all the time.
I feel good about who I am.
I can say that for the first time in forever,
Because I know this is me and not some lie.
This is who I am,
Like it or not.
