Primeval Shadow Wrought of Flesh That I Am

Age Group: Adult
Sitting at a table with pen and paper,
As the drinks are poured, and drank...
The visions of the present whirl and twirl.
I look around...
The near future, those dear to me all in my vision, start to unfurl.
They are the only ones that matter to me in this world.
Getting ready for the upcoming holiday rituals by making some folk,
The paper charms and wards they needed, all the while, giving warning,
To which they almost always heeded.
A life of a primeval shadow in a human husk,
Simple yet complicated, magical and enchanting, Always looking for his light,
From dawn til dusk.
Then he is to play in the night and be merry,
And so I shall be in the night all tipsy and tittering,
Enjoying cake and a wine of aged cherry.
