My Eternally Damned And Cursed Soul

by Gram Alabaster

Age Group: Adult

When I was born,
My parents celebrated unknowing of what they gave birth to,
That my life would turn sour from all the pain and skorn,
That it was Darkness I am in mind and in my heart through,
That all those that got close had soon one thing adorn,
A wretched stretch of luck,
And I talk not about your finger pricked by a thorn.

Throughout life I died day by day,
I died in the night as I slept and lay,
My life reflected my heart and the skies,
That all had become dark and the skies gray,
That it is not only me who dies,
But my friends for real and forever,
A sack of lies,
Is what it would be if I told you I am happy and uncursed.

Loves perished from this earth like air from hand,
Leaving only one thing behind,
That would be me eternally dark cursed and damned,
That no one could ever say they are of my kind,
That I was to lead my life and not find,
Not find someone I love without consequence.

Every friend I had left out of fear,
Because my life and aura were like a fire to skin,
It took to others lives and began with heat sear,
Some began to become disfigured and thin,
Others were beaten or murdered,
Or some witnessed what I had and that is grim,
Making all of life look so dim and chance of normality slim.

My life and soul are eternally cursed,
Cursed so that it affects those around me,
So they get hurt or die almost so quickly as if rehearsed,
So as I once said see me and just turn and flee,
Its for the best you should know,
For its my element of darkness to which I was born in is me,
So its for the best and that is just so.
