Question of the Week: 110 - 5/14/2003

What’s Your Favorite Element?

Do have a special affinity for one of the elements of Earth, Air, Water or Fire? Do you find one of these easier to work with than the others? Do ritual objects or other items associated with this element just seem to find their way to you?
On the flip side, do any of these elements – or what they represent – give you trouble? (For example: If you are drawn to the Fire principle, do you struggle with the emotional or spiritual aspects related to Water?) How do you balance out the elements within yourself? If you are ‘missing’ an element (or more than one) in your astrological chart (few or no Air, Water, Earth or Fire signs), do you consciously make an effort to enhance or strengthen the influence of that missing element(s) in some way?
What symbols, tools, animals, compass direction, emotions or spiritual guidance do you associate with the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire? And what does Spirit represent or mean to you?

Astrologically I'm Fire but through experience I found out that I work well with all of them. Now I can't imagine being drawn to just one.

Water Is My Element! | May 21st. at 3:21:08 pm UTC |

By far my favorite element is water! The pleasure of being submerged in water is outstanding. Besides that after loving the water, I found out that my given name at birth means "Sea Friend", And my chosen Pagan name has the same meaning. I have rearranged the meaning of my Pagan name to mean "friend of the watery Moon" Thats my two cents, farewell and Blessed be!!!

My element is Fire and i am very much bothered by water. I dont understand, all of my wiccan sisters and all of my teachers have told me i originated from water but yet that is what i fear most. I do wish i could come over my fear of the deep sea but it seems much calmer near fire and i luv wathcing it burn and wither

A Little Of Each | May 21st. at 7:25:56 pm UTC |

I like a little of each. I love the grace and speed one has in Water. I love the touch and connection with Earth. I feel that the wind can speak volumes and fire teaches us valuable lessons. I am earth but I love each one like their all a part of me.

Why Just Have One? | May 21st. at 7:28:08 pm UTC |

As a Taurus, I would suppose that it should be Earth; but it's actually Fire. I work well with all four; but have been in 5 tornadoes, almost drowned, and almost buried alive in a landslide. Fire has always been trustworthy, and my fire spells do act quite a bit faster than most, so............:) Besides, as a Taurus, it's kind of appropriate that I work well with them all. We just want one thing, THE BEST OF EVERYTHING!!!
