| Though I Do Not Live In The Affected Areas Of This Tragedy... | Sep 11th. at 3:38:59 pm EDT |

| Faythe Tigerclaw (The Colony, Texas US) | Age: 22 - Email |

Though I do not live in the affected areas of this tragedy I still feel their pain. I watched in horror with thousands of others as the World Trade Towers came tumbling down this morning after a cowardly attack on our country.
I try now to overcome the instant hatred towards those who would do something like this to innocent people. There is no excuse strong enough in this world to condone what has happened today. I am thankful that I do not know anyone in the affected areas. But my mind keeps being drawn to those people that do.
Let the love of the Gods shine down on us now in our time of great need. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this great tragedy.

| I'm In Anaheim But I Have Most Of My Family In Ny... | Sep 11th. at 3:43:32 pm EDT |

| Tristan Matthew Pecnik *Garou* (Anaheim, California US) | Age: 19 - Email |

I'm in Anaheim but I have most of my family in NY, one of my friends and fellow coven members fire was extinguished by that cowardly attack on the world trade centers. So far this morning I have done all the spellwork that I can and have visted the red cross to donate blood but still it makes me feel helpless that I can't do more. My hopes and love go out to all the people and victims affected. I wish them all bright blessings and safety in this time of crisis.

| My Heart Goes Out To All Who Have Been Touched By This... | Sep 11th. at 3:44:32 pm EDT |

| Sabine (Avoca, Pennsylvania US) | Age: 33 - Email |

My heart goes out to all who have been touched by this great tragedy. I can only send my deep love and healing wishes to everyone. I have no idea why someone would want to do this - it makes my heart hurt. I have lost collegues (my company had an office in the trade center) as well as friends I know not by name but spirit. I only hope they find happiness in the Summerland and those who will stay with us in this plane heal quickly.
Again, I am confused why this has happened and I am angry as well. But I will hopefully be able to turn that enegry towards healing and health.
may Brigid, Morrigan and Cerriwdan bless and protect us all.

| Dear Friends In The Pagan Community: This Day Of Unspeakable Tragedy Gives... | Sep 11th. at 3:47:45 pm EDT |

| Andy (Boulder, Colorado US) | Age: 31 - Email |

Dear Friends in the Pagan Community:
This day of unspeakable tragedy gives me call to write to all of you to share a plea and a wish. It is so hard in this world to walk the path we are on, but the practice of "and ye harm none" sits very close to my heart. So much fear, horror and anger has been rained down on the bodies, minds and spirits of the world. If we let ourselves give in to anger and fear we are no better than those who committed these abominable acts. Friends I do not know, but with whom I hope I share a common belief that one may do as one will, provided that you harm none, to walk carefully in these days ahead, I implore you to walk in the world in love and trust. Match this violence with peace, strength and love.
My sorrow and shock are deep, but open your arms and let us not lash forth in anger and fear, but trust that love is stronger than hate, and that all that is done comes back to the perpetrator threefold.
With prayers for all.
In perfect Love and Perfect Trust, Andy

| Brothers And Sisters Of The Craft, for Many People Here, The Tragic... | Sep 11th. at 3:48:51 pm EDT |

| Morboriel Parthenos (Brooklyn, New York US) | Age: 20 - Email |

Brothers and Sisters of the Craft,
For many people here, the tragic events that happened this morning were just something horrible to watch live on CNN. For me they were a lot more real than that, because I live here. I was born and raised in New York, and have lived here all my life. It's the only home I've ever known. Us New Yorkers have gotten a bad rap for a lot of things over the years, people think the city is dirty, the people are rude, etc. This place isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But, even though there are aprox. 8 million of us living in the five boroughs, we are surprisingly close-knit. When tragedies happen we come together.
We may be a very large city, but this city is made up of neighborhoods. People from all over the world come here to make a better life for themselves and their families. Children go to school everyday. We are hard working people. We're tough people. Beyond the unfathomable loss of life, the World Trade Center meant a lot more to us than just a world financial center. As a child I remember going on lots of field trips there. I remember friends coming to visit and many happy memories there. Almost everyone in this city knows someone that works in those buildings.
I woke up this morning to absolute horror. Words can't describe it. I am terrified to leave my home. These monsters, whomever they are, tore out our heart and stomped on it. There are no words to describe the feeling here. As I sit here typing this, the air is shrouded by soot and ash. People are crying in the streets. Until an hour ago, I feared for my sister's life, and wondered if she was ever coming home again. She works further uptown, but does a lot of business at the WTC. Thankfully she is shaken up, but unharmed. However, her boyfriend works at the Pentagon, and we still have not heard anything from him.
My house is directly on the flight path from both JFK and LaGuardia Airports. A few minutes ago the house shook, ostensibly from one of the military planes. I can not help but feel this country of ours is plummeting quickly into an abyss of war and destruction.
I want to thank everyone who has sent out prayers and energy and spells of healing and protection. We New Yorkers are a tough lot, and we are pulling together as a city like never before. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and may the Gods bless us all.
May you never thirst.

| A Quote From Starhawk's Excellent Book, The Pagan Book Of Living And... | Sep 11th. at 3:49:59 pm EDT |

| hestia (Page, Arizona US) | Age: 53 |

A quote from Starhawk's excellent book, The Pagan Book of Living and Dying:
"We respond to violence with rage as well as grief, and we quite often desire revenge more than healing. In the Reclaiming tradition, we acknowledge these feelings as normal and human, but we discourage the seeking of revenge, for such actions tend to become obsessive and limiting, keeping us suck in our pain. We believe in the Rule of Three, that what you send out energetically returns to you three times over, so we discourage hexing or cursing, no matter how well deserved.
"On the other hand, we do not urge anyone to forgive the murderer, to send him/her white light or healing. Forgiveness must be earned by repentance. Forgiving someone who has not changed his behavior is condoning violence.
"Instead of either revenge or forgiveness, we suggest a focus on justice. In our prayers, meditations, and rituals, we can call for justice to be done, for perpetrators to be stopped from harming others, and for violence to cease. We commit ourselves to work for justice in the world.
"Along with all the work of grieving, when violence strikes we must struggle to restore some sense of meaning, hope, and dignity to life. Private grief is not enough; only communal action can begin to assuage the pain."
Thank you, Starhawk. Life is truly precious, and as events have once again shown, hatred and prejudice are the enemies of life. Goddess bless and protect us all.

| In Addition To The Healing Circles That Are Even Now Being Planned... | Sep 11th. at 3:50:21 pm EDT |

>In addition to the healing circles that are even now being planned >and taking place, I would ask for those who have ideas for strong and >successful protection or 'binding of evildoers' rituals to share them >with the community. Our legends say that the witches of England >worked together to protect their country against attack. I think it's >time for the pagans of the United States to do the same for their >country. > >Of course, practical things like the donation of blood are also >helpful. > >Elizabeth >
I agree with this post that I read early. We also need to do something to insure our safety as the healing begins and continue. I hope we will also, at some time, be able to look to the future. We need both healing and protection at this time. what can we do to make our children, brothers and sister safe again?

| As I Know We All Are, I'm Deeply Shocked And Saddened By... | Sep 11th. at 3:51:10 pm EDT |

| Pixii (Keizer, Oregon US) | Age: 25 - Email |

As I know we all are, I'm deeply shocked and saddened by this morning's attacks. I know there isn't much we can do on a physical level (although the American Red Cross will still be needing donations next week), but any healing and protection energy that we can put out, either as individuals or in a group, may help to heal some of the strife..I encourage everyone to gather with friends and family and do what we can to help. May the Gods keep watch over the victims and our country.

| They Are Cancelling My Evening Classes. When I Got Out Of My... | Sep 11th. at 3:54:07 pm EDT |

| Tasha (Dallas, Texas US) | Age: 21 |

They are cancelling my evening classes. When I got out of my class this morning, someone outside was talking about the WTC, and I thought that he had been joking with his friend. Then I came in, and they had every TV in our school set to the news, they even had pulled out extras because we were all stopping in the halls and silently watching it. I can't believe the entire thing; it seems so surreal. I have friends in DC, and I'm just hoping they are ok. To everyone who was near this horrid event, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm going to the blood bank tommorow to donate.
