Question of the Week: 99 - 2/16/2003 What Moon Phase Are You In? Consider the phases of the moon: Waxing (strengthening, enlarging, increasing), Full (powerful, energetic, extroverted, public), Waning (banishing, forgetting, diminishing, retreating), New (hidden, secret, introverted) and Once in A Blue (unexpected, outside the norm, quirky, special). Which such ‘phase’ is your life, emotional state or spiritual growth in right now? Do you consider and/or utilize the moon phases in your spell work or rituals? How so? |

With getting better in Karate, getting my studies turned in on time, and staying on top of things at work better than i had been I'd say waxing, could be better and is getting better. I'm happier than I've been. I try to consider how the moon's phase is as I go through my months, and remember when things are going rough "It's waning" things like that. |

I feel like the phase of the moon that most fits me at this time is the Waxing Moon. I hope to soon get to a place in my life where I can be compared to the Full Moon. |

i've always considered the new moon to be a time of gathering strength, of release and preparations to move forward. so in that sense, i feel that i am moving in to a new phase after a period of waning- romantic partnership falling apart, questioning about the path of that relationship, letting go of the negative energy built up in myself. now i'm readying to move forward, looking ahead to the waxing moon i know will come. i do really enjoy using moon phases in ritual work. following the moon phases was my first step in training my body to reconnect to the earth many years ago, and the waning, waxing, bright and dark moon energy is most important to me still. peace blessings to all. |

I am ending an abusive relationship and beginning my search for inner power fully now. He has tried to keep my religious befiefs under his control and in his religion, Catholisism. I am full of wonder and questions about life, love and how to now raise my two young children. I have only the waxing phase to wait for and to help me through this tough time by bringing me enlightenment. I plan to perform my first "real" ritual tonight. I am going to ask for strenght hope and protection from the Lord and the Lady. Blessed Be!!! |

I suppose I have a bit of all the moon phases which applies to me. The most dominant, however, happens to be the Waxing moon. I'm new in this carnate, being only recently 15 years young, I'm still learning the ways of the world. I'm still learning, and loving absolutely every moment of it. I'm still in my part of life that I'm gathering strength and knowledge to be used later on, I find it easy to put to use what I've learned so far, yet, I know theres still more to experience, know and do. So deffinately Waxing moon for me, I know a little, but I'm not quite full, just like I've got my foot planted firmly between the broomcloset door and the frame, all thats keeping me back is strength..whether it's intellectual strength, or emotional, I'm sure, wih time, the Full moon will be will be dominant in my personality, and I'll be out of the broom closet for good. |

I am new to the religion, I would have to say that my moon phase was waxing as I am learning about the religion in new ways and meeting people involved in the religion. I have yet to cast any spells but I do plan to coinside the casting with the moons phases |

I have a changing persona when it comes to the moon. When I do things it is usualy in accordance of the moon fase. When the moon is new, I can be either very sage or a dark temptress. While it is waxing, I tend to be more maidenly and "virginly" independant. At full I am motherly and very caring. Durring the waning I dent to be mor creative and very "grandmotherly". New moons don't fase me, I think i'm on a 13 month cycle anyway. Kelley |

well currently through the loss of my gf I would be a new moon, my moods and tempers are easily arroused if the slightest thing annoys me. I think I must of loved Kirsti more than I thought as it seems to effect me bad even though I split with her. |

I think I'm in the waning phase following the demise of my marriage. I am trying to forget and banish the hurt, trying to minimise the pain to others involved too and be able to move on. I have been practising for a while and do my magic with the phases of the moon, alhtough I sometimes feel within myself that the time is right for certain spells. |

Over the past six months my spirituality and connections to like minded people have been waxing like never before. Emotionally it's been a roller coaster like never before which includes all phases of the moon. I hope emotionally things settle down so I can really enjoy my spiritual awakening. I've been on this path for five years and it is really paying off now. As far as using the phases of the moon in ritual or spellwork I try to pay attention to what the phase is and the significance of it. I use new moon energy every month and relate it to the place it is astrologically. The effect of the eclipses has been most amazing. |

i think i am a mix of the full moon and the blue moon, because my grandmother says i am going to be a very powerful witch and it is very suprissing how much a 13 year old knows so much about Wicca, considering i got into it only a year ago! So i guess i am a full blue moon!! Truly an Aries Fairy, Katie |
