What are YOU Thankful For?

As we get together with family and friends at this time of the year (and at every time of the year), which people do you want to thank for making a meaningful difference in your life? (Why not surprise someone and thank him/her/them publicly right now and right here?) What lessons that came your way turned out to be blessings in disguise? How do you demonstrate your gratitude to the Earth and/or to your Gods/Ancestors for their continuing guidance and blessings?

I Am Thankful That I Am Alone This Thanksgiving. I Am Thankful... Nov 23rd. at 5:54:54 pm EST

Lindsey M. C. F. (New York, New York US) Age: 19

I am thankful that I am alone this Thanksgiving. I am thankful for the peace and quiet the Gods have given me this weekend so that I may continue with my work. I am thankful for this religion and for how much I have learned and grown. I am thankful for the cards and phone calls from close friends and from family (a small dose is good enough for me).
I am thankful that I am able to be at a great school learning a lot and preparing myself for even more study. I am thankful for my friends who provide relief from academia. I am thankful for folk music that encourages my spirit to keep going and my voice to sing loud and long.
Most of all I am thankful for a combination of the mundane and the academic that lets me laugh at myself and take myself seriously, all at the same time. Many thanks to the Goddess for myriad blessings.

First And Formost, I Would Like To Say Thanks Mom, As It... Nov 23rd. at 8:20:46 pm EST

Wispur wolfsong (Harrison, Arkansas US) Age: 34 - Email

First and formost, I would like to say thanks Mom, as it is her that is responsible for what I am today. Through her guidance, understanding and ever unwaivering love, she had taught me how to love all things in this world, in nature, in the physical realm and of course the astral/spiritual planes. How to realize that good lyes within us all, and even though there may be a seemingly unbreakable shell around some, if you try hard enough and with enough love in your own heart, you can penetrate and give love to those that are even deemed unlovable.
Second, I would like to thank the many authors that have written so many books on my beliefs, the inspiration you have given me thru your works, and helped to guide on my path towards the center, authors like Grammassi, Buckland, G. Frost, Leland, Ravenwolf and Cunningham, and many others. To all of you I give thanks and offer the most bright of blessings to you and yours

What Am I Thankful For? I'm Thankful For The Goddess And The... Nov 23rd. at 10:00:43 pm EST

Zenith (Subang Jaya, Malaysia) Age: 18 - Email

What am I thankful for? I'm thankful for the Goddess and the God. They've helped me in my journey and always there to guide me, even through hard times. I'm thankful for my pagan friends, a handful of them that were always there for me. They were there when I went Online and they'll beep my ICQ to greet me, we'll talk and get on the day with a smile. I'm thankful for my coven mates, they are always so good to me. I'm gladful for all things I'm blessed with.

I'm thankful that I don't need to say, Malaysia is a rural place and nobody is a witch and a pagan here... there are many of us here... and I thank all who'd appeared and disappeared and reappeared on so many occasions to make my day.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thanks-living All The Words Of Praise You've Spoken When There Was No... Nov 24th. at 2:17:03 am EST

Maker (Las Vegas, Nevada US) Age: 51 - Email

Thanks-Living
All the words of praise you've spoken
When there was no need to speak,
All the rush of anger broken
When you turned the other cheek,
All the gifts you freely proffered
To the lonely who yearn...

In as much as you are giving
of yourself in Goddess's own way
All your life is a thanks-living.
Everyday Thanksgiving Day.

I Have Too Much To Be Thankful For To Name It All... Nov 24th. at 10:05:14 am EST

Green Sprite (Fort Lauderdale, Florida US) Age: 18

I have too much to be thankful for to name it all. I'm thankful for my health and happiness, my home, the love of my family, my cat (who is unaware she's not living in Ancient Egypt being worshipped as a Goddess), the craft of magick which sparked me on my mystical spiritual quest, Gaia, mother earth, our home, Luna the heavenly sister, giver of magick and often unappreciated yet absolutely crucial sustainer of Gaia's living functions, Llew, the sun, the great father of earthly life, the stars and planets, and most importantly to me, my Jen.

P.S. - I'm also quite thankful for this website, by the way.

Merry Meet, This Time Last Year I Had Just Given Birth To... Nov 24th. at 11:14:39 am EST

Fannie Wrenn (Bay St. Louis, Mississippi US) Age: 38

Merry Meet,
This time last year I had just given birth to my second set of twins when I suffered congestive heart failure. My family and friends rallied around me. They took care of all my children and they prayed, Christian, Pagan, Hare Krishna. My Pagan family organized a group healing meditation. We had family members as far away as Japan and Bermuda in on the healing. The next day my heart function was almost miraculously improved. I am now one hundred percent and my close brush with death has taught me true appreciation of my family. They are the greatest. My husband and I also learned the very important lesson of asking for help when we need it , something we were always too proud to do.I thank the Goddess for giving me these most precious Blessings. BLESSED BE!

I Am Thankful For This Green Earth And The Wild And Gentle... Nov 24th. at 11:48:14 am EST

Peg Aloi (Medford, Massachusetts US) Age: 37

I am thankful for this green earth and the wild and gentle beauty of nature, which inspires me each and every moment I am priviliged to walk upon it.

I am thankful to all my friends and chosen family who have walked beside me on the pagan path, for the love and lessons they have imparted to me. I am thankful to my birth family who raised me to have respect for the living earth and its creatures, and who taught me to love the outdoors.

I am thankful I have been born into a land of wealth and plenty and privilege, and that there are those who work to see that those born into less fortunate circumstances receive the help they need.

I am thankful for the kindness and generosity of others. I am thankful for the selfless acts of people who inspire me to be better than I am.

I am thankful to the many pagans and witches and Children of Earth who are trying their best to heal our planet and fight for justice for the peoples and creatures of the world.

I am thankful to my dear friends, Wren and Fritz, and the incredible work they do each day.

I am thankful to my pagan friends and family who give of themselves and make the world a more beautiful place to be: all of my friends of Babylon (Thoth, Deb, Sean, Toby, Lakshmi, Arachne, Robert, Jim, Adam, Berta, Elizabeth, all of you!), Don and Daniella, the wonderful folks at Brushwood, the Order of Ganymede and Coven Cthonioi, my UK brothers and sisters, my musical friends at the MudCat, my friends working to free the West Memphis Three, and those I wish I could talk with more often than I do.

I am thankful to the authors whose magical words have inspired me on my path, including Ronald Hutton, Leo Martello, Patricia Crowther, Sybil Leek, Janet and Stewart Farrar and Gavin Bone, Doreen Valiente, Dion Fortune, Margot Adler, Aleister Crowley, Charles Godfrey Leland, Stewart Gardner, William Butler Yeats, Walt Whitman, William Wordsworth, William Shakespeare, the list goes on!!!

I am thankful to my feline companions and familiars for their unconditional love and magical ways of wisdom.

I am thankful each day for the talents and abiltities I have been gifted with and grateful for every moment I live on the earth.

I Am Thankful For: Being Alive To Greet Each Day. Being Able... Nov 24th. at 12:28:08 pm EST

Irish Mouse (Shelton, Washington US) Age: 56 - Email

I am thankful for:
being alive to greet each day.
being able to look out the window and see the trees.
Epona leading me to find Charlie our donkey.
the chance to gather with my family, including my son who has recovered from cancer and my brother who has severe Downs syndrome.
all of my two and four footed friends.
being in a country where our voices can be heard.
the earth beneath my feet.
the sky above my head.
the list is endless.
Blessed Be.
