Question of the Week: 15 - 11/13/2000 What are YOU Thankful For? As we get together with family and friends at this time of the year (and at every time of the year), which people do you want to thank for making a meaningful difference in your life? (Why not surprise someone and thank him/her/them publicly right now and right here?) What lessons that came your way turned out to be blessings in disguise? How do you demonstrate your gratitude to the Earth and/or to your Gods/Ancestors for their continuing guidance and blessings? |

As a practicing professional psychic, and a Solitary, I'm thankful to those who've gone before me in the Struggle so that I might practice my Craft and my Profession without worrying about being burned, crushed, hanged, etc. I'm thankful to those who've spoken out against religious persecution and prejudice so that we as a society might grow in tolerance and enlightenment. I'm thankful that we have tremendous opportunities in the years ahead, especially as we approach the New Millinneum in the year 2001, to continue to push for the establishment of tolerance and understanding, especially of Pagan issues and Wiccan concerns. We have a ways to go, but I'm thankful for the opportunity to make my voice heard along with the voices of my many brothers and sisters in the faith as we continue to speak out for our beliefs and to gain acceptance. I would like to give all thanks to The Goddess, for keeping my family and I safe last night. After cleaning everything up from our feast and going to bed, I couldn't fall asleep. For 30 minutes I tried, but all I could think was I have to go to the kitchen, I have to go to the kitchen...I gave up and walked in to find the stove top burners were on, turned to high, and ready to ignite the pot holders above them. Never in my life have I recieved a powerful message as I did last night. While never in doubt of my life's path, I was given the gift of the Goddess's complete love and blessings. Her demands for me to return to the kitchen saved our lives. Thank you, O Great Goddess, for the lives of my family, and my own. Blessed Be. |

I am thankful that I live in a free country where I can read, think, study and believe what I want. I am thankful for my beloved husband who is my equal in all things and who believes in my dreams. I am thankful that I have always known stong women and good men as my cherished friends. I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, food every day, basic health care and more than one set of clothing to wear, all of which makes me richer than 80% of all the people alive today. Lastly, I am thankful to the feminists, agitators, nature lovers, free thinkers, truth speakers and trouble makers who have gone before. They lived bravely, they questioned authority, they took responsibility for their own choices, they claimed their power, they stood for something, and they knew how to laugh, even in the face of disaster. The people who inspire me lived lives that changed the world for the better. I hope someone can say the same thing of me when I am gone. |

I'm thankful for everything I have. I'm luckier than many people- I have two parents who love each other and me too, of course, despite the fact that I am Pagan. My friends have, for the most part, accepted me (religion and all) as well. I'm thankful for the magick of life and living, the Lady and the Lord's true gifts to mankind. Most of all, I'm thankful for life itself. |

Merry Meet to all my fellow witches, as i hear the call of the Goddess getting stronger i must give thanks for being close enough to hear her soft voice. What i am very thankful for is being able to celebrate my chosen path of the wise ones. yet i think back in days of old, when we did not have the freedom as we do now. i give thanks for our brothers and sisters of witchcraft who lead the way for our freedom now. |

I am thankful to the Goddess for all the strenght i was given, for my everydays that's filled with blessings, for the beautiful flowers that grows with her warmth for her tender guidance she willingly gave... i thank her also for the wondeful family and friends who's been with me for all these trying times for making me see the beauty before my eyes. i also thank thee for giving me to you my new found friend who lightens my evryday burden who fought the same battle i feel each time i am in pain, who made me smile from the heart though, distance might have been so much of a reality The Goddess made it all possible for us to be free. I am thankful for earth (form) I am thankful for water which surrounded and protected all of us in the beginning I am thankful for fire which gave us light from above to ascend into to I am thankful for air which started the cycle all over again at first breath Being a child of our Mother, I give thanks to her by stopping to listen to her voice. I recognize that I am a part of her, and that she is a part of me. Being a father to children, I give thanks to my children who teach me to forgive and to live every moment to its' fullest. Being a younger brother, I give thanks to my older siblings who gave my parents practice in raising children before I came along.
