We should gather as a from of power and strength for our country. Using our gifts our faith and our ''magical workings'' we can bring peace, comfort and strength to eachother and victims of this tragedy. The United States of America is in need my friends, let gather and give what we can.

| Scout An Sionnach (Toronto, Ontario CA) | Age: 30 - Email |

By now most of you are aware of the horrific events in the United States. It is terrible, it is unimaginable, it is unthinkable. Please join others in sending our thoughts, our prayers, our energy to those who are in need. We not only need to work in spirit, but also in body. Donate blood. Offer your home to those that are stranded. Hold someone you love a little closer. Light a flame, and may its light shine brightly in this time of such utter darkness.
On behalf of the Toronto Pagan community... our thoughts, our energy, our prayers...

| When I Heard About The Attack At 10:30pm I Was Shocked... | Sep 11th. at 6:09:45 pm EDT |

| Deborah Overturf (Marysville , Ohio US) | Age: 22 - Email |

When I heard about the attack at 10:30pm I was shocked, bewildered, lost. How can this happen?, I thought, why would this be. All day I listened to updates and newsreporters, I felt so angery, hurt, violated. I wanted something to be done about this usless loss of life, energy, and of people. I strugled all day to rid myself of my anger and negitivity, but I couldn't, I still don't understand, I can't logic this out. I came to the Witcher Vox. to recieve guidence, I'm only a two year old witch, so I'm still trying to mentally change my reactions. All of the positive messages and the support are wonderful, thanks to all who have posted messages. You have all helped me see this in a Witchy way as I need to. Blessed Be.

| I Don't Really Know What To Say, But Feel The Need To... | Sep 11th. at 6:12:16 pm EDT |

| Worth (San Antonio, Texas US) | Age: 32 - Email |

I don't really know what to say, but feel the need to say something. This may be sort of stream-of-conciousness, but here goes...
First, I fully agree with everything posted so far concerning sending out all the healing energies to the victims and protective energies for the rescue workers. Gods know they need all they can get right now and for some time to come.
Second, one of the first thoughts that came to my mind after it all had sunk in was the extremem likelihood, given the assumption of a Muslim group being responsible, that there's probably going to be a large amount of racist activity directed at people of Mid-Eastern ethnicity here in the US. Don't forget them - they'll need our energies as well.
Third, while I have become increasingly anti-war in recent years (even before finding the Wiccan path), I also still believe in self defense. I don't think the Goddess and God expect us to stand still and accept violence committed against us. The same goes on a national level. I do think the U.S. gets involved in way too many conflicts, but this is a national defense issue in my opinion. People, this is War. I agree with "Do no harm"; however, sometimes one has to weigh which action causes the most harm? If finding those responsible and stopping them results in more deaths, but prevents them from escalating their attacks whether on US soil or anywhere else, then stopping them causes the least harm. I know this is a very controversial view in our community, but I had to say it. Don't doubt that I much prefer peace, but think about this: what if Hitler had never been met with violent opposition?
And last, I want to reiterate that my thoughts, feelings and energies go out to all the victims (including the families/loved ones of those dead; they are victims as well).

| I Should Have Known Something Was Coming. Stormclouds Have Been Popping Up... | Sep 11th. at 6:18:24 pm EDT |

| ghost (Sarasota, Florida US) | Age: 21 - Email |

I should have known something was coming. Stormclouds have been popping up in my dreams, and last night I woke up with a very strange sinking feeling. That being said, there is no way to gauge the harm that has been perpetrated today, both physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Everwhere I look, faces are awash in anger. The words "bombing" and "arabs" have been paired and circulated constantly, usually with plenty of profane mutterings thrown in. People seem ready to meet death with death...it's like we've traded in an iron curtain for the crushing weight of an iron globe.
Every time I close my eyes, I see something that makes me open them again--fire, smoke, bodies toppling through the sky. I can feel their screams hoverring in the air, just out of reach of my ears. I don't know if anything will ever be the same again. My thoughts keep landing of Faust--maybe Mephistopheles was correct. Maybe whatever arises from the void deserves to be annihilated. I know these feelings are fundamentally incorrect, but I can't get them out of my head.
There is a fog in the air, and it is choking us all.

| I Don't Think Any Of Us Will Ever Forget This Day...my... | Sep 11th. at 6:29:56 pm EDT |

| Rev. Carolyne Kleinman (Round Rock, Texas US) | Age: 43 - Email |

I don't think any of us will ever forget this day...my heart went to my toes as I saw the first of the WTC towers in flames when I walked back into my home from taking my kids to school. Then, horrifically I watched as the second hijacked plane plowed into the second tower. My gut told me we were under attack, and it was to be confirmed as the report came in that yet another installation was "plane-bombed" - this time, the Pentagon. All that I hold precious and dear suddenly became threatened from a nameless faceless force - and my brothers and sisters in spirit and in citizenship were dying in front of us all. No longer did it matter, the lines of dogma blurred - we all hold some form of Deity as Sacred - and we all believe that our Freedom to worship, live, laugh and love is part and parcel of that Sacred Trust. Here, with a bloody, fiery scimitar, the Tapestry of our Republic was rendered, our innocence shattered, and our Faith to be tested. No matter what name we give our individual observances of Faith, it has become evident that it is time we come together, place dogma aside in favor of another hand to push aside the rubble, the ash, the shrapnel and pull ourselves out of the ashes to stand strong and reborn. Issac is right. We don't have time to hate or retaliate. Right now, despite our differences, all we have is each other. Night is coming; my candle is lit, my hearthfire is ablaze, my kitchen will be a welcome place for those who hunger for the bread of grain or companionship after being on the frontlines of horror and hatred.

Though my 7 year old son and I are currently homeless in Concord, NH, we have to put our thoughts in perspective in view of these events. I say a prayer in thanks for us being alive and reasonably safe and my thoughts and love go to the victims, dead and wounded and their families and friends.
May the Love of the Lord ands Lady be with us all

| It Helps To Take Direct Action At A Time Like This So... | Sep 11th. at 6:38:37 pm EDT |

| Sia (Santa Clara, California US) | Age: 43 - Email |

It helps to take direct action at a time like this so I am writing to ask those of you who can donate blood to please do so as soon as possible. You can find the address and number of your local Red Cross at this website: http://www.redcross.org/
You can also call 1-800-HELP-NOW. The Red Cross has other needs besides blood. This number will tell you how you can help.
As I write this, the American Red Cross is sending blood donations to the disaster areas in the U.S. This means that blood for operations, births, accidents and other emergencies in some other areas will be in low supply. Even if your blood doesn't go to someone in New York or Washington, it can help someone elsewhere, so please donate if you can.
The Red Cross also provides counseling and mental health care to those that need it. This is not easy task. They can use your spiritual and earthly support at this time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you on the East Coast and to those who have loved ones there.
We have also asked our members to send strength and love to the ones who have passed on as well as to their families, friends and loved ones. Please also keep the Rescue Workers, Fire Crews and Emergency staff in mind. These brave men and women deserve our thanks and support.
Alone or in groups, we will light candles tonight for Peace, Courage and Hope and then many of our members will go to on the Red Cross Centers in California.
Blessed Be to your and yours,
Sia Council Leader, Full Circle Events http://www.fullcircleevents.org writing from Northern California.
