Would You Live In A Haunted House?
You have found the perfect house. But it’s haunted. Doors open and close. Lights flip on and off. Footsteps are heard in the hallway, furniture is rearranged and ghostly figures are spotted wandering the grounds.
Would you move in?
Would you be comfortable living with ghosts and/or paranormal activities? Or would you send the spirits an eviction notice?
What are your thoughts on paranormal manifestations?

I have lived in many houses with paranormal activity, and I certainly would again. Actually, the house I want to one day own may be haunted. I used to pass a house with a round "tower" in front every day on my way to school. And every other year it goes up for sale again. So my fiends and I have concluded it must be haunted. Either way, I have had my eye on that house for many years and I rest assured that when I am ready to buy it, it will once again be for sale :)
I think life is just more interesting when there is paranormal activity. And it makes great campfire stories!

Been living in a house with several spirits both of the upset and of the calm nature. Wouldn't be that much of a change, other than the fact that maybe the new spirits wouldn't be so bent on driving my fiancee insane.

Honestly, it seems now-a-days that almost every single house, apt., etc. that I walk into has *some* kind of spirit moving around in it. Naturally, you think, they could be attached to the people currently residing there, or even to myself, for that matter. So basically, I'm used to them. Every now and then, however, I do get spooked...and then I'll laugh at myself (while driving to a friend's house...) for letting them get the better of me. So yeah, I guess I would move in to the place; but if anything violently physical happened, I'd get the hades out of there.

Yes, I would, and have lived in a haunted house. The one I grew up in was. As long as there was no negative feelings from the spirits, I wouldn't mind at all.

Earth bound spirits would be fine. The availability of a broadband connection would be much more important.

Given the choice a ghostly roommate might be easier to get along with than a corporeal one. I would ask before I moved in, if there were any instances of paranormal activity in the house or apartment. Wouldn't want to hang a beautiful painting up on a wall that has a history of getting knick-knacks tossed up against it.

Ok, it's quite obvious that most people have experienced some sort of prescence, and since everybody's sharing their's, I guess I'll tell you mine. I have always seen and felt prescences through-out my life, however, there was one particular house I always felt bad about. At the time, I was about twelve. The house was located in south-central PA, and according to legend, on an indian burial ground. (Ah, industry, sigh*) Anyway, we moved in and my family and I soon noticed that it was always cold. We would see shadows in the house and as time progressed things began to get more interesting. I remember trying to play in the yard, but then there would suddenly be a cold breeze and a multitude of voices would start whispering in my ear. I would look around and see shadows that seemed to be running around me. Needless to say that scared the poop out of me. Other occasions were witnessed from my brother, whose bedroom was accross from mine. He claims that at night I would come out, only it wouldn't be me, my face would be disfigured. At night they would begin whispering in my ears. Everyone could feel the bad vibes in the house. I actually think I was being protected as I stayed in that house because of one specific experience. I had been waking up in the middle of the night at around one or two consistently for about a week. It never really bothered me, so I would just go back to sleep. But on the last occasion I looked over and saw a completely solid, luminescent old nun just sitting there watching me sleep. Shortly after that, we moved. Even from that experience though I would still live in a hounted house, I've learned a few tricks since then. Heck I still live in one. (I've currently got a problem with some of the ghosts touching me as I sleep.) Oh well.

From experience I wouldn't mind living with a spirit, just as long as it was a friendly and harmless spirit. I would talk to it as my friend. Because right now, I know that my boyfriend I was with for 7 1/2 years is with me. He lets me know in my dreams and with objects falling for no reason. I also met an angry spirit at my aunt's house when I was a child, this is what MADE me begin to believe in ghosts. I definately wouldn't want to live with him. I knew it was a man because I saw him wearing a tophat, he had a medium-length beard then everything was cloudy under that. It was a site I would never forget.

My best friend when I was 9 was a ghost who still follows me wherever I move to. About a month ago, he asked me to look for his burial records at the library, and so I did, knowing he would bother me forever if I did not. I was shocked and almost started to weep, for in those records were copies of his birth and death certificates. We each were born on the same day, the 20th, and month, Feruary. He had me do this so I would no longer have an excuse to be sad and lonely ever again on my birthday. He had always been there helping me blow out the candles, for it was his day of birth as well.
I would be disappointed if my next home was not haunted.

I've lived in a haunted house since I was four and my college dorms and one old apartment of mine was haunted. I'm not sure I'd know what to do with myself if I lived in a non-haunted place for a long period of time! I grew up hearing things that go bump in the night, so it doesn't bother me much. We've been known to ask the spirits to "be quiet" or "could you do that later, please?" I don't think I would "evict" the spirits but I would ask for cooperation if we were both going to exist together happily. I think hauntings are events imprinted on a certain location for some reason and should not be feared.

The question is, would I live in a haunted house? Well, the house I live in does have a "presence", but I wouldn't catagorize it as being "haunted". A few yrs. ago, my husband and I bought a small cottage-like house with a stone fireplace and old fashioned hardwood floors. We were told the house is over 100 yrs. old. The house had such an enchanting feeling about it when we first looked at it, I knew this was our "dream home". We move in with our two cats who have been with us for about 12 yrs.
About two wks. after we moved in, is when I began seeing "shadows". The first time I had the experience, I was working on my computer. I caught a glimpse of a cat entering the room out of the corner of my eye. But when I looked down, expecting to see one of our cats sitting beside my chair (as they sometimes do) , I saw nothing. I found our two cats snoozing peacefully on our bed in the next room. I knew I had seen "something", and I wasn't imagining it. I wasn't frightened by the experience, it only peaked my curiosity.
There were a few other times when I saw the "shadow" of a cat moving across the livingroom floor, and entering the kitchen when I've been cooking. I don't know if the "presence" is of a cat that had previously lived in the home, or if it could be the "spirit" of a cat I had loved and lost several yrs. ago. I would love to think it is my beloved "Capone", coming back to visit and letting me know he is still with me. He was such a big part of my life, and a devoted friend.
I am hoping to find a way to extend the visits of my "shadow", so that I may understand why it is here, and let it know it is welcome to share our home with us. I feel my experiences have been positive in nature, and do not fear them. I don't know what I would do if the "presence" was negative or scarey. Whether or not my "shadow" is of a cat that once lived here, or if it is indeed my friend from the past, I feel blessed to have been able to connect with them.

Would I live in a haunted house? Well, I have. And so far, the spirits and I got along very well.Except for one house. years ago when I was 11 yrs old. My family moved into this house in the hills of W.Va.It was a beautifull home, But!..it was haunted by attleast 3 spirits. And the one spirit was very dark and very frighting! Not only would it move things around, but also scream at you.And it would show itself more to my baby sister than any of us, and frighten her. The other 2 spirits was a man and a woman. I have seen her quite a few times. The man, would only show himself to my Mother. We never knew why the (I"ll Say) 3rd spirit was so angery, but after living there for 8yrs, it finally stopped. But the 2 others, stayed on. We did get use to them. They rarely shown thierselves, but you could still hear them at times. Talking to each other. Or moving things about. We came to belive that they were an old couple. I was only thankfull that the angery spirit left! That was the only time I delt with a dark spirit.Thank Goddess! So, would I live in a haunted house again? Yes, as long as it was a good spirit. I have to remember, they were there first. I have had to tell a spirit to quiten down. But I've also have had a spirit to help me out. Finnding things for me.But the most recent one was a year ago. And I will forever Thank this spirit! She, I feel it was a she, really frightened my violent ex-husband away!! Some times I wish she'd come back! And my ex, hasn't bothered me since! I call her Anna, So Anna, where ever you are, Thank you!
