| The Cauldron Of Ceridwenblood Was Spilled And Death Ruled The Land... | Oct 18th. at 8:59:53 pm EDT |

| DrFruitloop (Gentry, Arkansas US) | Age: 45 - Email |

The Cauldron of Ceridwen
Blood was spilled and Death ruled the land, at the time of year when Wiccans honor the Death of the God, the Harvest of the Land. The country mourned, as Wiccans mourn His passing. Now we approach Samhain, and the Lord of the Forest, the Sun King passes into the Shadowlands to rest, to grow, to learn, to return to us at Yule. The Crone stirs the Cauldron and we look into it to see the future. The Mother stirs a Cauldron, too. She stirs the Cauldron of Transformation. The power of Death, of Blood is transformed into new life, and the God will return with new knowledge, new awareness to give to His land.
Wiccans celebrate this Wheel year after year. Who is better trained to take the power of Death and Blood and transform it into something else? Who better than the Wiccan community can do this with awareness and fearlessness? Wiccans mourn for and honor their dead, but we do not fear Death, and we routinely use that tremendous energy to transform ourselves and the world around us. We cannot stop what is happening, but who better to stir the Cauldron to invite Transformation?
The Blood of Sacrifice has been spilled, and sadly, more will be poured into the Cauldron. Let us take the lessons of our faith and stir the Cauldron of rebirth so we can redefine the World's future to be a future of understanding, of freedom, of peace for all living creatures and the Mother herself.

| I Always Envisioned Being Able To Look Back On My Life At... | Oct 14th. at 6:17:27 pm EDT |

| Winterkill (Frederick, Maryland US) | Age: 18 - Email |

I always envisioned being able to look back on my life at a grand old age, and tell my grandkids that I lived in a time of peace. But the morning of September 11, all that vanished in an instant.
It was a normal morning, in most respects. I'd gone into my second period class, and as usual we weren't doing much aside from talking. Suddenly, the door opened, and there stood our SGA president- who incidentally happens to live across the street from me. His face was red, and he looked strained and afraid as he sat down. Delivering the message must have been so hard for him.
We turned on the TV and watched in horror as image after image flew by, showing us the grisliness that had come to be that morning. Several people began to cry, one of my friends among them. I sat there, mute and stunned. Who could have done such a thing? And why? Why suddenly kill Five thousand innocent people? That's five thousand mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, coworkers, and friends. Five thousand empty places at the dinner table. For their families and friends, the grief of the attacks will be nothing to match the void these people have left.
Now, people of our own country have been using this tradgedy to their own ends. An event that unified many just set some people up for more fighting. I read, recently on a church billboard, "God will come back to America when America comes back to God". When did we ever leave? God has many faces, many names. To some wiccans, God can be two people, two sides of one whole. To some it is a trinity, or one simple, perfect, all-knowing being, such as in Native American and Buddhist spiritualism.
I begin to wish and wish and wish that these people would one day come to see- it does not matter what you believe or what name you give it. It does not matter. All that matters is that you love, that you hope, and that you dream.

| I Was Fortunate Not To Lose Any Loved Ones On September 11... | Oct 14th. at 2:17:26 pm EDT |

| Lauryl Stone (Chapel Hill, North Carolina US) | Age: 33 - Email |

I was fortunate not to lose any loved ones on September 11, and none of my family and friends have been deployed to fight this slippery "War on Terrorism."
What saddens me is the prevalent undercurrent now that if you're not a Christian, you're somehow unpatriotic. I've put my thoughts and feelings on this up at my personal webpage: http://www.geocities.com/laurylstone/tolerance.html .
My hope for all of us, and I know I'm preaching to the choir here on Witchvox, is that we can grow up as a nation and realize that people of ALL faiths are patriotic, that people of ALL faiths are in mourning.
Peace.

| As I Look Again At The War That Has Come Upon Us... | Oct 13th. at 1:55:54 am EDT |

| Angeleno (Escondido, California US) | Age: 54 - Email |

As I look again at the war that has come upon us, I see again the shining madness that lurks at the heart of monotheism. Forgive me, but this is a time when I cannot restrain my thoughts in order to avoid hurting feelings. Nothing hurts more than war, and Led Zeppelin sings truly when they say "The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath".
My view on this topic is at
http://www.going-to-halifax.com/Essays/09162001_ES_49.htm
for those who wish to consider it. Since it is inflammatory to say the very least, I leave the choice to you.
May we all know peace, may we all know love, may we all embrace the Earth our Mother and she us.

| When I Close My Eyes And Think Of All The People That... | Oct 4th. at 9:13:29 pm EDT |

| karine (montreal (canada)) | Age: 13 - Email |

When i close my eyes and think of all the people that hate each other i just wonder why.Why do people start fights all the time, why do people hate each other so much?We are all the same and still yet people fight to get an honor.If we would all get together and think through all those times we were there for each other and helped another with all our hearts, why is there still hatred in our world.When one country is in help, others help all they could! When some innocent parents lose their children.....we pray for them...we give all we could.But still yet there are still some people trying to take away our peace.We are suppose to be a peacful and lovable world without wars and without fighting.This is what we all want.But still yet people think differently.We all have hearts but how could people have the heart, without no pity, and watch children, parents and innocent people die.No one deserves to die, and sometimes the sweetest and nicest people die for nothing.I live in canada, and at school we had a mass talking about our beloved neibours, USA, and it made us cry just thinking about all the pain they could be going through because of people that have the heart to do such a thing and take away millions of lives, innocent lives!!!!It could happen that one hates another but never would i have thought that people would do such a horrible thing to children and parents.They left children all by themselves without parents....think about all these children that are lonly and sad....think about all the parents who lost their loved ones...think about all the other people in other countries who have relatives visiting USA and died.I would like to say a prayer and hope that terrorism and bombers read and realise all the pain they caused...
God, May u help all the innocent people that`s lives have been taken away and may they rest in peace.May u help america and give them all the hope they could.May u bless all the firefighters and police men who had the courage and faith to give all they could to help everyone live.May u be with all of them through bad as well as good.God may u BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| It's Hard To Say Still What I Think And How I Feel... | Oct 1st. at 10:21:14 pm EDT |

| RavenMoon (Madison, Indiana US) | Age: 30 - Email |

It's hard to say still what I think and how I feel after 9/11. My world like all others was changed. I hope in this time of sadness that we learn to count on one another more and to look at those around us whose views may differ, whose lives may differ and realize that when it comes to a tragedy such as this we are all the same and we all need to love and respect one another to get through the times ahead. I too have been saddened also by the lack of our religion being allowed to speak but instead being met with the likes of Falwell. Times are hard my friends, but we will somehow stand as one against the terror created by this dark and vicious man.
Blessings to all and may your hearts be filled with light again in the knowledge that though our loss is so very very great, our country has banded together to help one another.

| A Call To All Witches & People Of Magick!in Response To The... | Oct 1st. at 8:21:58 pm EDT |

| Sarah (Ocala, Florida US) | Age: 50 |

A Call to All Witches & People of Magick!
In response to the horrific tragedy that has attacked our shores on September 11th, 2001, plus the lives of millions of people around the world during the past and present; I call upon all witches and people of magick to join me in a solid vision that STOPS the psychotic carnage control of Osama Bin Laden, and TERMINATE any and all deeds of his regimeÕs terrorist acts including their so called "honor suicide mission."
Remember the movie ÒThe Craft?Ó Here are two incantations to begin with. Repeat as much as will flow through you.
ÒI BIND YOU Osama Bin Laden, I BIND YOU from harming other people and harming yourself.Ó
ÒI BIND YOU terrorist people, I BIND YOU from harming other people and harming yourself.Ó
This incantation is not meant to block any negative effects of the heinous causes they have made, only to increase the protection of innocent people and hinder all terrorists from attaining the honor deaths they seek.
So Mot It Be!

| I Wish I Could've Said Something. I Had A Dream On August... | Sep 30th. at 7:55:28 pm EDT |

| CyanaElectra (North Bay, Ontario CA) | Age: 37 |

I wish I could've said something. I had a dream on August 11th, that I recorded on my online journal I saw the highrise, I saw the destruction. I felt the shrapnel, I saw and felt the death, but I honestly thought it was happening in Macedonia. I can't tell you the grief I feel. It's horrid. My heart and soul cry for the people that died, are suffering, and for those that lost people in the tragedies in the States. I so wish I could've said something to help, but I'm not sure I would've been heard. All I can do is send love and pray for peace. May the Goddess and God protect us all, everyone!

| America Needs To Step Back And Think About What We Are Doing... | Sep 27th. at 11:24:57 am EDT |

| Tara (Southestern , Virginia US) | Age: 27 |

America needs to step back and think about what we are doing, before we run off to declare war on people (the common people of Afghanistan) who may have done nothing whatsoever to deserve it. I feel that we are reacting in the heat of anger, however righteous, and we need to take that into account. I feel fairly certain that Bin Laden was behind the attacks (wonderful how the CIA trained him), and if I remember correctly things he has done in the past, it would not be (is not?) out of character at all for him to be trying to start a jihad, a holy war, against America; to start a war between the West and Islam.
We are a nation founded on Freedom Ð of religion, of speech, of thought. We have grown up with these freedoms as natural to us as breathing, and perhaps take them for granted because of it. We must not do that; we must not forget how precious and hard earned these things are.
A war between Islam and the West would only bring blood and tears to far too many of Terra's children. We need to stop and think before reacting in anger, to be certain that the course of action we take is the correct one. And if war is in truth the correct action, then the world itself will shake with the thunder of the wardrums.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am keeping myself up-to-date as much as I can on all that is happening, and am letting my Reps and Sentators at Congress know how I feel. I'm not sure what else to do right now. Goddess bless America.
| I've Been Numb The Past Couple Of Weeks As Most Of The... | Sep 26th. at 10:18:49 am EDT |
| olulpana (Fort Lauderdale, Florida US) | Age: 35 |
I've been numb the past couple of weeks as most of the world. I agree with Wren on this weeks comments about our need to find a leader for comfort in such a time of being lost. I do have to say I have found a leader in reading the WitchVox for comfort and kindred thoughts the days past. Her thoughts and inspiration has given me back clairity and purpose. Thank you WithcVox!
Today I finally sat down to read out of one of my books. I missed the Mabon celebration due to the gloom that set over me but I wanted to get back in the swing of things again and still have my ritual of what Mabon is all about. It is all about returning to balance. Light with Dark.
In one book "The Goddess Companion" by Patricia Monaghan, I was compelled to read the daily meditation for September 11. This is what it reads:
Remeber this, and keep these words in your heart: from this moment until you die, you are mine. I have made you whole and, in turn, you will now be my devotee, dedicated to my service. You will be happy always, under my protection, and when your destined death comes to you, you will be happy in the afterworld as well, because you have known me.
When you die, you will see another side of me: queen of death, as I am now queen of life, shining in the darkenss then with a light as strong and kind and gentle as this light which shines upon you now.
-Apuleius, the Golden Ass
With all of those lost to death on that day I am comforted that they will find light in the dark with the tremendous outpouring of love from all the people around the world. Those of us too who have been lost in life to that horrible day again we also will find light amongst the dark with again the tremendous outpouring of love from all the people around the world. To all of you who would seperate us for one reason or another, you forget there is one similarity that bonds us tight forever. We are all people flesh and blood created in this same world. I do not believe that something as powerful, beautiful and beyond our knowledge would give birth to such a creation as we are to overrule one over another; to cause such pain and sufferring and then try to blame another for the act. What kind of incredible creation does that make us? Learn to know, learn to gain insight, learn to love, learn to live and let others live as peacefully. We are one world!
May the world continue to shine brighter and brighter with each coming day until harmony and peace succeed.
Bless Be!
