Question of the Week: 98 - 2/10/2003

Would You Live In A Haunted House?

You have found the perfect house. But it’s haunted. Doors open and close. Lights flip on and off. Footsteps are heard in the hallway, furniture is rearranged and ghostly figures are spotted wandering the grounds.
Would you move in?
Would you be comfortable living with ghosts and/or paranormal activities? Or would you send the spirits an eviction notice?
What are your thoughts on paranormal manifestations?

...if having the house was important to me. If it was a pleasant spirit or being, I would attempt to contact it and try to live in peace with it. Anything with an attitude would be banished.

I might, but then again it depends on the house and types of manifestations and what kind of dreams I have therein (if I have too many nightmares that are based on the energies of the current manifestions, I'm serving them an eviction notice; having had similar experience at my grandparents house) .

I would definately move into a haunted house. I have decided for my future that when i do buy a home, it will be haunted. I have a special connection i feel to the supernatural world and i am fanticied by it. I dont believe that all of the visualized dead are evil and want to kill you. They were people just like us who had feelings and felt emotions and i find it offensive to those who we call "ghosts" to run from and speak of them as demons and damned spirits. They were like i said people with feelings and emotions and the dead should be respected.

well fianlly something I can respond to! Yes, i would live in a house with paranormal events. In fact, my house has become a paranormal haven of sorts sence me and my family moved in 13 years ago. I have always been facinated by the pranormal, so it just add up that the paranormal would come looking for me. So in response, yes i would live and do live with ghosts and the paranornmal in my home, and very comfortably to.

I would defenitely move into a home that is haunted. I've always been able to see apparitions for the most part of my life, and I am comfortable with their presence. I would not however send an eviction notice of any sort. There are ways of coming to an agreement with such beings to be able to live in the home peacefully. We've come to be afraid of so much that is a part of this world that we are losing the resources we need to further our spiritual journey. Open up.

I could and have lived in haunted houses and am consulted frequently on the matter by friends, co-workers, and others. I would pretty much learn to live with or deal with most spirits unless of course the spirit in question was causing destruction or harm in any way then I would deal with it accordingly on a case by case basis as each incident is unique and so should be handle in an appropriate manner. I would love to live in a haunted house. Though I would prefer the ghosts to be nice, one or two naughty ones could come in handy... I believe already that my current residence is occupied by maybe not just one but two or three feline ghosts.

My dream house is a centuries-old victorian or farm house (not too hard to find here in New England!) , complete with a charming, benevolent guest or two. =)

Yes, I most definitely would let them stay unless they became violent in any way. Then they would be handed their walking papers. About 10 years ago, I lived in a house with a resident ghosty. Nothing bad happened. Lights flicked on and off, we had a dimmer switch in the dining room that would go nuts, the toilte would flush itself, doors would open and close, and a unicorn figurine of mine would get moved constantly. It always seemed very friendly and in no way threatening. I actually liked it. *smiles*

| Would I Live In A Haunted House... | Feb 16th. at 8:39:26 am EST |

Would i live in a haunted house? The answer is yes. Its a great way of finding out about the past of your area and your house. Of course, i dont need to read books or visit people to find this out, my house IS haunted. My mom has seen a man standing in the doorway of her old bedroom, and i've heard footsteps and voices outside my door. I've seen cildren playing in the garden outside my window, and one of them was burying something in the ground. i went outside to that area, and dug up the smashed remains of a dolls tea set. Of course, its mainly the older houses that are haunted. My house is from 1500, and there have been houses on this site for ages. I'm going to stop now for fear of rambling. if anyone wants to contact me, thats fine. C ya! Shayla*** Link to More info related to this post -- HERE
