Question of the Week: 90 - 12/22/2002

Which Christmas Ghost Would You Like To Be?

You know the story. In A Christmas Carol, three ghosts visit Scrooge: The Ghost of Christmas Past, The Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Future. Which Ghost would you like to be?
And who would you like to haunt? Boo!

I always, always loved the ghost of Christmas Present...the holly crowned, jolly spirit with the green cloak and the food. :) I don't know who I would haunt. I'm sure if i were that spirit...I'd have a huge list of people I would have to visit. I'd certainly be busy with everything thats going on in the world today...I bet there are plenty of people who would need me to point stuff out to them.

The clock is ticking and I'm worried about not getting old, so my choice is Christmas Future. As soon as this transformation manifests I'm headed to Dubbwa's sleeping quarters to show him the effects of another oil war. Then I'm going to let him swim home from an offshore oil rig.

the whole thought of christmas, is upsetting to me. a born and raised catholic. i have known since i was a small child, that there is so much more than they tell you! i think that if they would realize the truth, then they would be ablr to except the fact that there is more to the truth then what they want you to belive.

I'm not sure as to which I'd want to be. I have my opinions which apply to all three.
Ghost of the Past: To show people why they have become the person they are at the present.
Ghost of the Present: To show people what they have made of their life and how it affects others at the moment.
Ghost of the Future: To show where people's paths are going, so they may be able to change their ways to make their future brighter.
Blessed Be.

if i could be any of the three ghosts i think i would like to be the future because you would be able to see what was going to happen, then you could think of a way to stop it ( if bad ) before it happened

If given the chance, the Ghost of Past. Who among you wouldn't give your eye teeth just to go back and see someone, just one more time? Not only that, but an incredible chance to see why things went wrong, or right, as the case may be.
Tough call as to my chosen Hauntee. So many thousands of boneheads in the past. Would be kinda cool to be the Karma returning to someone who has been dreading it!
Brightest Holiday Blessings, whatever your Holiday might be.

| Christmas Ghost- Present | Dec 26th. at 9:30:52 am EST |

I'd choose to be the ghost of Christmas present---he's so happy, and he looks like he has a lot of fun. I wouldn't like to live in the past with events that've already happened, or to live in the land of what may be and things yet to come. So I would be the ghost of Christmas present and get about being happy and joyful and grateful for eveything I've got and everything that's good in the world. I'd sing too; that's always great (like the ghost of x-mas present in the the movie "the muppet christmas carol" ---go muppets!^-^). Merry Christmas---or Yule, I should say ;).

I would most certainly be the Ghost of Christmas present, so I can watch my son growing-up while I haunt him, most of the time I'd just watch and let him make his own mistakes as the lesons we learn in life influence the paths we take, but I'd be mischievious and play tricks to keep him on his toes. And at least I'd know even though I cant be there for him in the physical world I would always be by his side in the spiritual domain. Anji (vixen)

The ghost of Christmas Present struck me as the most jolly. It is good to be jolly. While pointing ominously and wearing concealing dark robes might be fun for a while (I was the ghost of Christmas Future when I went caroling with my family, in fact! And a remarkable hit with the kiddies, too...), in the end I just want to enjoy the cookies and point out people having times of hope and joy no matter what the circumstance.

To be able to show people what the future holds for them if they keep cruising down their past of destruuction is soo very powerful. I'm not sure how I would handle it if it was not an eye opening and the person continued to be a "Scrooge"

I'd like to show others where their path is leading, in time for them to make changes if changes need to be made. I'd like to do the same for myself!
