| It Is Unforgetable, The Images That Have Been On Television For The... | Sep 13th. at 6:18:09 pm EDT |

| Laddeewolf Stormrider (Granby, Missouri US) | Age: 46 - Email |

It is unforgetable, the images that have been on television for the last 2 days are forever burned in the minds and hearts of all of us. I wonder if the magnetude of what he has caused has ever occured to Osmama bin Laudin. I wonder if he has thought beyond his own hate and anger. I think that he is one of those souls that should be stopped from continuing the cycle of birth and rebirth. I think that this should be in our thoughts more than the punishment of all who have dark skin. This soul has probably been around for some time accumulating hate and anger in each lifetime. I truly believe in the laws of Karma. Any magic I do will be aimed at him specifically. All the evidence collected so far points to him. I do not feel that I am jumping to a conclusion either. I dont want to see the innocent suffer. I know that we americans tend to jump on anything that resembles the enemy, for now people cant reach bin laudin- so they are attacking anything that resembles an Arab. People seem to need something to hate. I know that we are all hurt and angry- but be carefull, These people will turn on us when its all over and they need someone else to hate. We are different and strange, most of my friends and family know what I am, And since I have always been different, I know what its like. I have always been treated like an evil child-my mother was a devout christian. And anyone who was different or didnt think the way she did was evil. If anyone should suffer for this it should be the leader, not the sheep that think they are wolves. If you must aim your anger and hate at someone make sure that it is in the right direction. I have aimed mine at Osama bin Laudin

| Think For A Moment, And I Know How Hard It Is, So... | Sep 13th. at 6:12:17 pm EDT |

| River Fox (Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey US) | Age: 14 - Email |

Think for a moment, and I know how hard it is, so take your time. Back to the time when life was normal. When the most important worry on your mind was whether the Yankees would win their next game. If you can see it, if you can remember... New York, we knew it was important, but what was it really? Another city. Another dot on the American map, only with a reputation for snobs and modern sophisticates too aloof for us mere mortals.
On the front page of the Star Ledger, there is a picture of a fountain somewhere in Manhattan. And New Yorkers, the same New Yorkers made legendary for their high-and-mighty attitudes... stranger holding hands with stranger, forming a ring around the fountain. No matter how depraved these saddeningly idiotic terrorists maybe be, there is hope. We are still Americans, and we do not fold so easily.
As Thomas Paine once said, 'These are the times that try men's souls.' The comfort we find must be within each other. There must be no hanging separately. In the Goddess, or in Jesus, or in an Allah untainted by human malice- please. If humans can learn to come together, so can their gods.
In these days and the heavy days to come, let there be no difference between us. We are the world's children, united in mourning for the loss of our own. And in that mourning, we buoy ourselves up out of an abyss of grief and undescribable tragedy. We move forward in the name of a justice that must be rendered balanced by an innocence that must be honored.
In the end...
WE ARE NOT MOURNERS.
WE ARE NOT COWARDS.
WE ARE NOT MURDERERS.
WE ARE NOT FOOLS.
We are American. And we will move on.

| Pro Patria Et Populoby Trade, I Am A Writer. I Spend... | Sep 13th. at 6:04:38 pm EDT |

| reese mack (Dallas, Texas US) | Age: 31 - Email |

Pro Patria et Populo
By trade, I am a writer. I spend a good portion of my life, it seems, transfixed by glowing phosphorous emissions, generated in a monotone hum from an unconscious box, found scant inches away, as I await the visitation of a friendly or familiar Muse.
By the word, by the page, by the article, by the project, I earn my livelihood through the staccato peck-peck-pecking out of what are often moribund, unfeeling keystrokes.
Today is not one of those days.
Today I write for myself, for my nation and for all those whose hopes have crumbled in a terrible roar of dust, debris and destruction.
Today I write from the heart.
I have, as many of you have also, sat shell-shocked at the unfolding events of September 11, 2001. The urgent need of so many, and the urgent cause held by so fanatical a few which has wrought it, has left me numb; a casualty of a different sort.
My mind reeled in revulsion of it, at the unfathomable notion that it was happening. Here. Now.
But happened, it has, and make no question of it, it has happened to each and every one of us. No matter your ethnicity, your nationality, your religion, your far-flung distance from any particular blue shore, it has happened to us all.
Only those without empathy, with a soulless incapacity for seeing the worth of life, and especially its senseless loss, will feel truly isolated and immune from its consequence.
Indeed, this HAS happened to us all.
I am reminded that this is the time, in the life of our Ancients, of the enactment of the Eleusinian mysteries.
Great fields of wheat and other grains were cut down in single, explosive blows from a sharpened scythe. The Mysteries were to remind our Ancient brethren that, though the grains' sharp and sudden death had been brought on by our own hands, further life would again spring forth, in its own time, through the divinely-given acts of faith, love, hope and labor.
Thus, through the process of death and rebirth, life would continue and we, as beneficiaries of that revealed knowledge, would be fed again from its divinely given bounty.
So it is with the events we face on this day.
Shock and fear will cause some to think, speak and act from positions of imprudence. Vengeful acts will be called for against those faceless cowards whom we do not yet know.
As yet, paranoid warnings against the encroachment of an Orwellian, omnipresent oppressor, waiting in the shadows of our darkest fears and on our own shores, will be echoed in the smoke-filled antechambers of our deepest mental recesses.
Verbal fusillades and passing gestures will be assigned to those who look, act and dress differently from "us, " and against their own wholly-innocent houses of worship.
Caution, dear friends, for time is long and holds its memory, while we ourselves are fleeting and often live to forget our own transgressions, by choice or through our shame.
Focus this day on hope, instead: hope for the families who have lost a great deal, hope for those who might yet survive, hope that our own human natures are better and more divinely-inspired than what we have recently and previously witnessed.
Hope for a world changed, forever and for the better.
Focus hope this day that we will find a solution.
I recall the words of a famous philosopher and student of history, a student of no small amount of education and experience, himself, in the ghastly, unthinkable horrors of war:
"Toleration, holding that every other man
has the same right to his opinion and faith
that we have to ours; and liberty, holding
that no human being can with certainty say,
in the clash and conflict of human faiths
and creeds, what is truth, or that HE is
SURELY in possession of it, so every one
should feel that it is quite possible that
another, equally honest and sincere himself,
and yet holding the contrary opinion, may
himself be in possession of the truth, and
that whatever one firmly and conscientiously
believes, IS truth, TO HIM Đ- these are the mortal
enemies of that fanaticism which persecutes for
opinionŐs sake, and initiates crusades against
whatever it, in its imaginary holiness, deems to
be contrary to the law of God or verity of dogma.
And education, instruction and enlightenment are
the most certain means by which fanaticism and
intolerance can be rendered powerless."
Focus this day on the acts of education, instruction and enlightenment, not for any one people, but for all people; both the "we, " as well the "them."
Sadness is unavoidable. This I know.
What I also know is that satisfaction will not come in the form of fear, at least at this time, of the encroachment upon our liberties, nor will it come via the acts of blind and hot-blooded vengeance.
We have already seen enough of that, recently as well as in the past. Let's not see any more.
Let us focus on noble ideals, instead. Let us focus our efforts on the motto, and the pledge, to whom this piece is directed: Pro Patria et Populo, "for country and people."
I, for one, will not permit harm to befall either, through my fault or my fear. I am sworn to it, but right-thinking people might, upon reflection, see the wisdom housed within those five simple words.
Brightest Blessings.

| I Am So Happy To Hear Of Others On The Pagan And... | Sep 13th. at 5:56:05 pm EDT |

| Kumari (Cleveland, Ohio US) | Age: 50 - Email |

I am so happy to hear of others on the Pagan and Wiccan paths who are finding ways to remember and send energy to the victims of this terrible tragedy. And I am proud of the thoughtfull comments you all have made. No knee-jerk reactions here! You have inspired me to light my own pillar candle every day until the candle is gone in vigil for those killed, maimed and their families and friends and the rescuers. It may seem that we cannot do much, but our intent and magic have power. I would not be suprised to learn that there were some in the buildings attacked that were of our path and they will specifically need our help, but any energy I raise will be offered to all without regard to their path or lack of it. Please, all, keep up the effort, this will take months to resolve and we may be called upon to defend our country in many ways. I am proud to be an American and a Witch! Goddess Bless!

| Dear Pagan Brothers And Sisters: I Recently Sent This To Our Members... | Sep 13th. at 5:30:31 pm EDT |

| Sia (Santa Clara , California US) | Age: 43 - Email |

Dear Pagan Brothers and Sisters:
I recently sent this to our members here in Californa and to our friends at The Witches Voice. Fritz has since asked me to post this information here for eveyone to use as they see fit. To that end:
Here is some information that you may find helpful in this difficult time.
*** FEMA & FEMA for Kids:
Here is the website from Federal Emergency Management Agency. http://www.fema.gov/
It has an article on how to talk to kids about disasters: http://www.fema.gov/nwz01/nwz01_99.htm
and here is the FEMA site just for kids. This gives children information on preparing for disasters. It even has a section where kids can talk to other kids about disasters they have experienced: http://www.fema.gov/kids/
*** TOLERANCE Here is a group based in Silicon Valley which is dedicated to fighting hate and promoting tolerance:http://www.tolerance.org They have several helpful sections, including one about talking to kids about tragedy and a list of things you can do to fight intolerance, prejudice and hate.
*** GRIEF COUNSELING Here is the website for Grief Counseling: It is called Grief Net. http://www.rivendell.org/
Also, your local TV news websites will have information on inter-faith Prayer Meetings and Community Candlelight Vigils in your area. If you can't get to a specifically Pagan Circle or Ritual Group, this might be of some comfort.
Here at Full Circle we are organizing a Pagan Blood Drive and asking people to make donations to the relief & rescue efforts. If you and your group wish to do the same, you can find information at The Red Cross website: http://www.redcross.org
Take care, everyone

| I Have Alot Of Thoughts On This Matter. Being From Canada Pretty... | Sep 13th. at 5:23:29 pm EDT |

| Kerri (Windsor, Ontario CA) | Age: 19 - Email |

I have alot of thoughts on this matter. Being from Canada pretty much anything that happens in the US affects us as well.
Having been at work since 8am on Tuesday I got to hear everything on the radio from the beginning. My initial reaction was one of shock and fear. What did this mean for me? Would my children's history beek mark September 11, 2001 as the beginning of World War III? I hoped not. As the day went on and I heard of other hijacked planes my greatest fear was for my mother who was scheduled to fly from Detroit to St. Louis that day. I feared she might be on one of those planes, as unlikely as that may be. I fought back tears and histerics all day, not just for my own friends and family, but for all the people whowere hurt in this tragedy.
Now that the initial shock has passed, I have had time to think on this matter. The first question to come to mind is why? Why would anyone do this? In retrospect, this is one of the easier ones to answer. Although Americans do not like to admit it, thye have many enemies around the world. And for various reasons each would like to see tragedy strike the heart of capitolism. Secondly, we aks who? That is not so easily answered. My heart goes out to all the arab-americans, and other arabs living in foreign countries around the world. Fingers are too easily pointed at them for tragedies such as this. Please let me stress, do not point your fingers at these innocent people. While arab-extreemists may be responsible for this incident, the men women and children of arab decent around the world are not. Least we forget how quickly fingers pointed to arab terrorists in the wake of the Oklahoma City boming. and that as we all know turned out to be a regular american joe.
My heart goes out to all of the people and their families touched by this horror. But perhaps this week's events will help the US Government to see that the way they deal with other nations, especially ones who are not necessarily friendly, needs to be changed. America must open it's eyes and look at what they are doing to the world. Some say that Tuesday's events were acts of senseless violence and detruction. I say they are not, they happend for a reason. I know many of you will not agree with me on this matter, but America needs to change. Picking and choosing which nations of the world America will help and those it will not, on the basis of capitolism is a shameful activity. The world as a whole needs to change and look towards peace, not war to settle our differences. We need to help eachother, not hurt eachother.
My prayers go out to all on this sad day.
Blessed Be, Kerri

| May I Add My Condolences To Those Already Expressed On These Pages... | Sep 13th. at 5:22:15 pm EDT |

| Moondancer (Paisley, England UK) | Age: 30 |

May I add my condolences to those already expressed on these pages. My heart goes out to those how have lost loved ones and to those who are working tirelessly in your emergency services. I would also ask that we all remember that people of all faiths have been involved in this tragedy and that this is not a time to persecute any one community. We need to draw together and show strength in an peaceful resolution to this crime. Like many I will be lighting a candle ever night until the last body is recovered, and would ask others to do likewise. May love and peace shine from your candle's flame. Blessed Be Moondancer

| Blessings To You And Yours~the Events That Have Transpired In Our... | Sep 13th. at 5:18:34 pm EDT |

| Rhiannon (Carson City, Nevada US) | Age: 29 - Email |

Blessings to you and yours~
The events that have transpired in our country the last couple of days are absolutely horrendous as we all know and have seen. This is a time that we must stand together with courage and strength, and really get to know our warrior Goddesses/Gods (Go Morgan!). But we also must be there for each other on a continual basis, and embrace the Mother and Father within us all (thou art Goddess/God).
This is not the end folks... yet only a new beginning. This is the beginning of a whole new world. Do not kid yourself for one second that this is over by a long shot. I hear many people discussing how they are not happy or content with the way in which the president is handling the situation. If you listen to his words very carefully, you will see that we, and possibly many other parts of the world are in it for the long haul. You don't hit the Pentagon, aim aircraft at the Whitehouse, or descend on our World Trade Center, and we turn away and go, "oh well...". This is BIG! It is on now... sadly, a war is on... its just a matter of time. And the US will not be the same hereafter... the winds of change have blown hard this time.
What will be brought to us all is not more than we can handle though, or it won't be sent our way. But I as a Witch, and a Military member in the United States Airforce, will do my very best to serve my country, and my Goddess and God. Even though it means I am fighting for your right to disagree with our governments actions, I believe in this freedom that we have here in the US and I refuse! Absolutely REFUSE to lay down and die in fear!
It is so wonderful to drive down the streets of the neighborhoods and see the flags waving proudly in the air! I am really, and truly, understanding for the first time, how really happy and proud I am to be a member of the couragous spirited people in this country we call our U.S. Watching the people volunteer and risk their lives just to pull one, just one person out, is inspiring to see. ... the epitemy of the light of the human spirit!
They set out to rip us apart, but the wonderful light that has come out of this, is the fact is, we Americans, are banning together, and showing what we are made of! SO MOTE IT BE!
Blessed Be Well~ Rhiannon, SSG, U.S.A.F.

| I Would Like To Send All My Thoughts And Energy To Those... | Sep 13th. at 5:12:41 pm EDT |

| Salix (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania US) | Age: 32 - Email |

I would like to send all my thoughts and energy to those whose lives have been greatly affected by this trial of life. I understand that we must have life lessons on which we can learn but I can't understand why some of these lessons must be so difficult.
I have kept a white candle lighted since the first victim was named... Maybe my thoughts and energy will help those souls find some peace.
If any other of the brothers and sisters know anything else that is needed of me feel free to contact me. If we plan a mass moment of power, please e-mail me and maybe our combine power can send enough energy to protect those who need it and help those souls who have passed.
Bless all of us in this time!

I'm so sad over all this.
It was about two moons ago when I was in NYC, and under the WTC. They could have attacked then.
Thank the Goddess that I live in a land that alows me to be a witch!
I did read my cards that night. Those who did this shall fail in thier war aginst us.
Blessed be.

| As Someone Who Is New To Wicca I Ask For The Wisdom... | Sep 13th. at 5:04:02 pm EDT |

| Kim (Hanover, Pennsylvania US) | Age: 33 - Email |

As someone who is new to Wicca I ask for the wisdom of the elders to help guide me through this horrific time. My feelings are torn, anger, rage, helplessness, and the strong concern for my fellow rescuers in NY and DC.
What I feel most strongly is that this is a time to set aside our religious differences and come together as Americans. This was not an attack on Christians. This was an attack on America. At this time it doesn't matter who you pray to...Just that you pray.
I would like to hear from any solitares, or covens in my area who are planning any magick. Any one else who is feeling like me is welcome to email. Perhaps by talking this out we can make some sense of it. May the Lord and Lady watch over and guide us all.
Bright Blessings, Kim
