Question of the Week: 56 - 8/27/2001

What Would You Like to See at The Voice?

By most measurements, TWV is a very successful site. YET, it is always in a constant state of change. This week we ask "What if YOU Ran the Witches' Voice - What would you change? In fact, feel free to post ANY suggestions that you may have related to this web site, its look, feel, design, content or tone... We have literally hundreds of ideas but would love to hear yours. Why? Because TWV has been built on your suggestions since day one... It's time to ask again! Kindly, keep your suggestions constructive.

| What Would I Change About Twv? Well, I Would Try To Orient... | Aug 26th. at 10:27:15 pm EDT |

What would I change about TWV? Well, I would try to orient the site toward more traditionally Witchcraft related topics and less on the "Pagan" fluff bunny.
I'm not interested in hearing about someone's cat. That tends to look more like Circle Network News with obituaries for some ditz's pet gerbil.
More on the psychic, the spellcasting, the ritual, the herbs, the usual subjects associated with traditional Witchcraft.
Witchcraft mediumship, occult arts and psychic sciences would take front row, if I were doing the site. Sabbat Ceremonial, Esbat practice and spells, charms and hexes for all occasions could be offered for those making Witchcraft their trade or profession. After all, it is a "Craft", not a religion.
So many things today, call themselves Witches This, or Witches That, but only turn out to be New Age gimmicks and Pagan revivals, but not honest witchery.

Home page: colored text on black background. No, please, no! I'm an old Pagan. Can't do that black background any more.

I checked out "The Witches Voice" for 1 year before joining as a sponsor. I have no real "suggestions" but I would like to briefly point out why I think you lovelies are doing so well. Perhaps there are casual visitors who may have not had the chance to see these patterns:
Safety; I've received no negativity from postings I've made or from having my address available
Fairness; this site has never (in my experience of more than 1 year) perpetuated lies, slander or bais/in-fighting
Community; it is set up to clearly give contacts/links with whom we can make acquaintance
Service; there has been maybe 3 weeks out of 80 that I've thought, "Hmmm, must be a lot going on this week..." Meaning the staff CLEARLY works its collective hind-end off for us -- Thanks kids

| I Love Twv, And It Must Be The Greatest Pagan Weabweaving Site... | Aug 26th. at 8:23:31 pm EDT |

| Zach (Gardner, Massachusetts US) | Age: 14 - Email |

I love TWV, and it must be the greatest Pagan weabweaving site on the Net. The news, links, and Area pages are comprehensive and well-toned, however there is one problem, and that is that there is not enough outreach. I have many Pagan friends who have never heard of TWV, but find it and immediately decide its great. I think TWV should start organizing a stronger ad campaign, through metaphysical shops, bookstores, and popular websites, so that more Pagans can find more Pagans online.
