| Dear All,i Wish That I Could Say Merry Met But This... | Sep 12th. at 3:22:23 pm EDT |

| Fire Horse (Winnetka, California US) | Age: 35 - Email |

Dear All,
I wish that I could say Merry Met but this is not the Merriest of Days. Everyone is calling for prayers, spells and candles to the victims and their families, of which I agree. But we also need to put in a call for those people that are calling for War. These people need your prayers, spells, candles and love also. I know of people from different walks of life and religions calling for WW3. This is not an answer.
I ask all of you to Please pray, cast spells, light candles, and send healing energy to these people so that they can let go of this anger and move on to more important things like healing.
I ask you all to remember that everything happens for a reason and the Goddess/Gods have their agendas for our world and we need to accept that. We don't have to like it.
I have candles lit here on my desk at work and I am doing everything that I can.
Please remember the people that are calling for War and send them healing energy so that we don't have to go into War.
Blessed be to all,
Fire Horse

| This Horrible Incident Is A Wakeup Call, But Not In The Way... | Sep 12th. at 3:15:36 pm EDT |

| Sandra Rodgers (Irvine, California US) | Age: 45 |

This horrible incident is a wakeup call, but not in the way some might suppose. It is an urgent invitation to recognize our interdependence as human creatures in a complex ecosystem that incudes many cultures, perspectives, and beliefs. We are so good at seeing the little differences; it is time to notice the similarities. All of us human beings are the same in fundamental ways. We all need physical safety, security, belonging, dignity, and purpose. Whenever an outrageous act of violence occurs, it is a clear signal that someone's needs are not being met. Obviously, the victims are not safe -- and my heart goes out to every one of them. Difficult as it might be to believe, it also is true that somehow the perpetrators are in need. People don't just act horribly in capricious ways. Something drove them to commit this unspeakable crime. We must look there to see how to be more helpful, how to prevent future outbursts. This is one world, and we all share it. We might consider asking ourselves: are we contributing to the welfare of all? Or is there some room for improvement in our dealings with others? If EVERY single human being on this planet were to behave in a peaceful, responsible manner, we actually would have world peace. Tonight, as we meditate on world events, let's send extra gifts of love and blessings out to ALL human beings without reservation or exception. Can we all do this? Can you personally do this? Let's try.

| I Was Looking For Some Relief Here From The Old-testament-quoting Warmongering On... | Sep 12th. at 3:10:31 pm EDT |

| Cat (Austin, Texas US) | Age: 35 |

I was looking for some relief here from the Old-Testament-quoting warmongering on TV. I am saddened to see evidence of hate and fear among my Pagan brothers and sisters as well. Remember through our grief, rage, and shock that we are ALL connected, all beings linked together in the beautiful web of life that is Gaia. The desire to eradicate all evil, to exact revenge, has consequences similar to trying to eradicate all harmful insects with DDT, or trying to eradicate all germs with antibiotic animal feed. I fear for the women of Afganistan, who have suffered so much already under the Taliban -- how much more suffering would American bombing inflict on them? I fear we will increase again the amount we are spending on the military (already more than the rest of the world combined), at the expense of moving toward sustainability. Yes, holy war is an evil thing as these terrorist attacks have proven again. Demanding perfect safety from violence, death, insects, or germs is another evil -- an evil of trying to separate ourselves from the web of life. The answer is to anknowledge our deep connection, to seek justice for all beings, and to hold to nonviolence, courage, and love in the face of evil.
Blessed Be,
Cat Austin, TX

| It's Been Interesting To Hear The Response From Richmond's (indiana) Pagan Community... | Sep 12th. at 3:08:51 pm EDT |

| Lady Teal NightRaven (Richmond, Indiana US) | Age: 29 - Email |

It's been interesting to hear the response from Richmond's (Indiana) Pagan Community. Many are in agreement that something must happen (i.e. retribution and war), but I simply cannot agree with this. I guess I am a "dove" at heart -- I don't see how going out and killing more people is going to "fix" this situation.
Hasn't there been enough death already?
I am grieving for those who lost their lives, for their families and friends, for the horror that this country has experienced. But I will grieve more if I learn that we have chosen to meet death with more death -- more children without parents does not seem just to me. (Besides, the terrorists who enacted the attack are already dead).
I just want to clarify that I do think that "something" should be done to those responsible for the attack (aside from those who were on the plane). I do not in any way, shape, or form condone what happened. I am just concerned that rather than justice, we will just kill thousands of innocent people in some other country as we go after one target.
I don't know what the alternative is.
Silver (my partner) and I were talking and she asked me what I thought we should do instead, and I don't have an adequate response to it. Emotions are high for all of us, so I can only hope that in sharing my opinion I haven't stepped on anyone's toes, offended anyone or led someone to believe that I am any less appalled then they are over the entire situation.

| I Am A Pagan Living In New York. I Am Looking Out... | Sep 12th. at 3:05:41 pm EDT |

| Anna (Staten Island, New York US) | Age: 30 - Email |

I am a Pagan living in New York. I am looking out of my window right now at a horrific sight. There is a huge hole in the skyline where the twin towers used to be. I cannot express what I am feeling at the moment. I was up all night waiting for news of a family member with whom I spoke to at 9:15 yesterday morning. At 2 am he returned unharmed and tired. But he was alive. I have friends that are unaccounted for and I can only hope that they are not suffering or did not suffer. There is so much I would like to express, but I just cannot find the words to do it. I would like to ask that if there are any healing groups or just groups of Pagan/Wiccan people getting together in the Staten Island, Brooklyn or Ny area, please email me. I do not belong to any organized groups at the moment, but I feel the need to do something with people who are like minded. My thoughts are united with you all. ~S~

| I Just Wanted To Write And Express My Deepest Emotions And Thoughts... | Sep 12th. at 3:01:46 pm EDT |

| Aryn Shadowfox (Durango, Colorado US) | Age: 21 - Email |

I just wanted to write and express my deepest emotions and thoughts in this great horror we are experiencing in our lives. It really is a grave sadness to see what our world and it's citizens are capable of this day and age. A lot of times I want to just give up and let life take its course but then I snap back to reality and think about what I would do in a situation if I was in the midst of it all. We can't just back off and let it all just "happen." We have to stand together and be a greater people standing for a greater good no matter how big or small our efforts are. We all can help in some way or another. If you are able, give blood or maybe give a little money to the organizations, if that isn't possible, say a prayer or light a candle in the victim's memory. Like I said before, we can all overcome this horror by standing together to be strong and showing the world that we are not a poeple who will take this kind of anger lightly. Show the world our love and bring them into our hearts. My heart and love goes out to those of you who have family involved in some way or another in the crisis. Bright Blessings and Love, Aryn Shadowfox

| I Didnt Sleep At All Last Night. Me And My Friends Did... | Sep 12th. at 2:55:28 pm EDT |

| Brianna (Cedar City, Utah US) | Age: 15 - Email |

I didnt sleep at all last night. Me and my friends did numerous protection spells and chants for us, and everybody involved, whether directly or indirectly. I don't about everyone else out there, but I have experienced some very interesting visions. Some of them quite disturbing. I'm not alone in this, some of my friends have too. Email me and let me know if you have also experienced visions since the terrorist attack. I'm definetley interested in knowing what these visions could mean. Maybe, with your help, we can figure this out.

| I Don't Know About The Rest Of You But I Had A... | Sep 12th. at 2:47:50 pm EDT |

| Elvia Gomez (Fort Worth, Texas US) | Age: 22 - Email |

I don't know about the rest of you but I had a hard time sleeping last night. I saw a Palestinean on the world news cheering and laughing and he said "This is great I love it, there should be more." Right then is the first time I got totaly angry at such human stupidity. Can't people see, even the President, that if we want true peace in this world fighting wars is not the way to go. I do believe that these terrorist should be stopped, but I do not believe that starting a war will solve all of our problems. I am just so confused right now. My white candle has been burning and my thoughts and prayers are not only for New York and Washington D.C. but for the world. This is a sign that we need to grow up and take a look around. Were turning into a bunch of violent angry mammals with guns. Everyone said something in the air is changing and that they feel a forceful energy. Boy were we right. Blessed Be Elvia

| I'm Really Afraid Of What Bush Will Do. I Fear This Will... | Sep 12th. at 2:44:05 pm EDT |

| Shadow FireRaven (N. Kingstown, Rhode Island US) | Age: 16 - Email |

I'm really afraid of what Bush will do. I fear this will turn into WWIII which will me the end of life as we know it today. Once the nukes start flying its over.
I am really amazed at the unity the country now has. It's incredible. I'm really not into doing the pledge of allegiance or looking at W. Bush with respect, but I really have to at a time like this.
PEACE TO ALL. LORD AND LADY BLESS.

| All I Can Feel Is Deep And Profound Sadness. I Can't Even... | Sep 12th. at 2:42:42 pm EDT |

| Lorelai (Concord, California US) | Age: 28 |

All I can feel is deep and profound sadness. I can't even feel angry. I see the anger all around me, and that makes me afraid. I'm afraid of the racism and hatred that I see this anger triggering, and I'm afraid of what Americans are willing to become to feed their anger. I pray for the families and friends of those who have died, and I pray for those who have been injured physically and emotionally. And I pray that we can rise above our anger and answer this tragedy with compassion and unity among all the citizens of this country.
