| As With Somemany Others I Have Spent Much Of This Day Watching... | Sep 11th. at 10:33:03 pm EDT |

| GoldenEagle (Oakland, California US) | Age: 34 - Email |

As with somemany others I have spent much of this day watching the news in horror and trying to reach my family in Manhattan. They are safe and sound, thank the Gods, yet the pain and shock remain.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have lost loved ones and friends - and to the ones who have no answers yet. My energy to thee - may it do thee well.
Blessed Lady and Lord watch over us all on this deeply wrenching night. Keep us safe from harm, guide our loved ones who have died to into your loving arms and help us find a more peaceful tomorow.
Blessed Be,
GoldenEagle, a daughter of New York

| Like So Many, I've Watched Today's Terrible Events Play Like A Sunday... | Sep 11th. at 10:31:46 pm EDT |

| Ken Garner (Albany, Georgia US) | Age: 38 - Email |

Like so many, I've watched today's terrible events play like a Sunday night movie, shocked, saddened and horribly amazed by the pictures on my television screen. As first the reality and then the magnitude of these attacks sank in, I uttered short prayers for the victims, the survivors, the families of both and the many emergency response personnel working in harm's way. Am I angry? Yes, but mostly I'm numb. Do I want retribution? Yes, I want our government to identify, isolate and punish whoever planned and executed these criminal acts. But I will not use my energy to wish these people ill.
I believe justice will be done, the Wheel will turn, karma will be appeased and the path will straighten without my intervention. My hope now is that the American people's growing emotion can be channeled into a work of hope and love and healing.
Peace and light, Ken

| In The Wake Of What Has Happened In New York, I Ask... | Sep 11th. at 10:25:15 pm EDT |

| Nightwind (Vancouver, British Columbia CA) | Age: 18 - Email |

In the wake of what has happened in New York, I ask you all to remember this is not only an attack on the United States, but it is also an attack on all free countries in this world.
As a proud and loyal Canadian I stand behind the retaliation actions that the United States may take, however, if this turns into a nuclear war or if the retaliation in any way causes a war, I hold the United States of America in full responsibility.
Do not let the cruel and unbelievable actions of these terrorist acts cloud your judgement.
This is not the time to start World War 3, and I hope you all agree with me.

| I'm A Pagan And A Patriot. As A Follower Of My Faith... | Sep 11th. at 10:18:07 pm EDT |

| Stormseer (Phoenix, Arizona US) | Age: 31 |

I'm a Pagan and a patriot. As a follower of my faith, I pray for peace. As an American, I will pick up my rifle and march for the freedoms that those before me fought and died for. Tonight on Capitol Hill, we witnessed men and women with political differences form a common bond. I hope that today's tragedy will inspire the religiously faithful to form a common bond. All of us, regardless of faith or creed, have witnessed real evil. A common bond of the faithful, and the many Gods we serve can defeat this evil which humankind has created.

| The Major Losses We Suffer In Life Seem Like Mountains That Cannot... | Sep 11th. at 10:17:38 pm EDT |

| TRISTAN ( Palm Beach, Florida US) | Age: 47 - Email |

The major losses we suffer in life seem like mountains that cannot be transcended. Their shadow is cast upon us and we are overwhelmed with devastating grief. We have climbed the peaks of life before and we have walked into it's valleys, but these mountains seem too high, too wide--impassable...
The only way to the other side of the mountains is through the tunnel and, unless we enter it's darkness, we will never see the light again.
Loss hurts and we are tempted to pretend that it hasn't happened or, having happened, that it doesn't really affect us. But it does.
We have no chice but to enter the belly of the whale and stay there long enough to be transformed by the pain, and then to surface with new breath and new life.
Remember---to breathe gives us pleasure. Just to breathe is enough for us to always be happy, to enjoy life. Just to be alive is enough. Feel the pleasure The Goddess and God have given us--- of being alive, the pleasure of the feeling of LOVE ....
After all is said and done --- LOVE remains.

| My Grandmother Will Never Forget How She Was Writing A Letter To... | Sep 11th. at 10:13:40 pm EDT |

| Reiney Erin "Rain" Attanasio (Warren Wilson College, Swannanoa, North Carolina US) | Age: 18 - Email |

My grandmother will never forget how she was writing a letter to my grandfather, long before he was my grandfather, and idly listening to the radio when a sudden broadcast told her that Pearl Harbor had been bombed by the Japanese.
My mother remembers to this day sitting in her homeroom class in high school, chatting away with her friends about the handsome star of the school football team when an announcement came over the loudspeaker that stopped everyone cold: President John Fitzgerald Kennedy has been assassinated.
I now have burned into my memory the lazy walk I took from the school library, through the mail room, stopping to look at all the bulliten boards, noticing a girl in front of my dorm was crying, seeing lots of people crowded around the basement television, craning my neck to see . . . the towers of the World Trade Center crumbling to the ground, an announcers voice pondering that "The landscape of New York City has been forever changed, " and later informing me that the Pentagon too had suffered a crash, cities were shutting down, Washington D.C. was evacuated, and there were bomb threats on the Capital Building itself.
I pray for peace, that my children may grow to be very, very old, and not have the memory of some greater or lesser destruction of the United States heavy in their hearts and minds as Pearl Harbor is on my grandmother, as JFK's assassination is on my mother, and as the destruction of the World Trade Center will be for me.
Blessed be to all who suffered . . . or, in otherwords, blessed be to all.

| I Think It Is Really Sad That These Kinds Of Things Happen... | Sep 11th. at 10:08:29 pm EDT |

| andrew blocher (highland springs, Virginia US) | Age: 17 - Email |

i think it is really sad that these kinds of things happen for no other reason than some stupid anti-u.s. belief i do think that our country sometimes does stick it's nose where it doesn't belong, but this is just wrong, i hope that they realize that who ever that they did these acts in the name of is frowing upon them. It's because these @#!*@$*!@#$ are not servents of any diety. we as a nation try to help the rest of the world we are NOT trying to policing it. life is a percious thing, and everybody is intitilled to their own opinion but it is when someone does something like this.just shows how evil people can be at times. i hope i can help bring peace i did a protection ritual on myself and i did a prayer to all how died that they may find peace, light, and to be truly happy in their next incarnation, but i am far from over. and i ask all who read my entry to do some of their own magick to help heal, protect, and whatever else is needed.

| My Prayers Go Out Tonight For Those Who Have Suffered So Much... | Sep 11th. at 10:08:02 pm EDT |

| Kaylara Nightshade (Ocean Twp, New Jersey US) | Age: 20 - Email |

My prayers go out tonight for those who have suffered so much today. I cry for those who have died and for those who have lost family and friends. I am completely horrified, and could barely concentrate on anything today.
And then my boss came to me... And showed me the rolodex card with the names and address on it of one of our customers. I stared at it in horror... Euro Brokers 2 World Trade Center 84th Floor NYC, NY
To Rich, Charlie, and Lisa... I send out my sincerest hope that you are safe. There is no way we can tell whether you are ok or not, but I hope to the Gods that you got out. I wish that no one died in this... How can anyone do this? How can you just destroy people like this? How sick do you have to be to destroy this many lives? And how can you rejoice?
The TV has made me cry all day. I will never forget this day.
My sincerest hopes that more people can be saved, and my energy goes out to all of those doctors, police officers, fire fighters, and millitary officers who are helping to save all of these people. And to everyone who has lost their life.

| I Honestly Don't Know What To Feel. I'm Shocked So Much That... | Sep 11th. at 10:07:45 pm EDT |

| Tanais (Spokane, Washington US) | Age: 20 |

I honestly don't know what to feel. I'm shocked so much that I can't cry or feel much of anything. Then I get a call from my parents telling me that they were not too far away from the pentagon when it was attacked. They were at Kennedy Airport and from what I heard, that airport could have easily been a target. I've spent the last few hours thinking not only about the countless people right now that are hurt or dead but about my own parents who could have been among them. All I could say is thank you Gods that my parents weren't hurt but there are plenty out there who were. My school is holding a candelight vigil for the victims of this absolutely horrible atrocity. I will especially pray for those that were on the planes that were hijacked. Being in the airline industry I know that the last thing I ever thought about when I look at an airplane was a manual operated tactical missle and I'm sure none of those people on the planes did either. From the second of their planes being taken over, I know they believed they were as good as dead and they had to think about that all during their last few precious moments of life. I will pray for them to find peace. I hope that they will along with the terrorists victims inside the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the widows and hurt families of the Men and Women taken too soon from this world.
Blessed Be the bringers of peace

| I Feel Like I've Been Punched In The Gut. I Can't Understand... | Sep 11th. at 10:06:12 pm EDT |

| FireWind (Toronto, Ontario CA) | Age: 25 - Email |

I feel like I've been punched in the gut. I can't understand any of this. My heart goes out to the victims and their families and loved ones. May the gods comfort and protect those in need, no matter what gods they worship. May healing follow pain. May sane and calm heads guide wise action.
Blessed Be

| I Will Be Lighting A White Candle In My Living Room Window... | Sep 11th. at 10:02:53 pm EDT |

| Deya deLisle (Beckley, West Virginia US) | Age: 20 - Email |

I will be lighting a white candle in my living room window Sept 12, 2001, at 8:00 pm (eastern time) in rememberance of all those we lost. I don't care what ritual you use, who you pray to, or what religion you are, but feel free to light a candle with me and send positive energy to the families of those who lost someone in this tragedy.
Thank you, Deya

| I Woke This Morning To The Planes Flying Into The Trade Center... | Sep 11th. at 9:57:46 pm EDT |

| Donna Phillips (Vermilion, Ohio US) | Age: 54 - Email |

I woke this morning to the planes flying into the Trade Center buildings in New York. I wasn't able to accomplish much the rest of the day. I keep thinking about the people in those buildings, and the family of those people. I started sending loving peaceful energy out to all and to this country of ours. I keep thinking where and what has happened to our government. I can't believe that with all the knowledge and equipment that we have that this got past them. I always have had this feeling that everything happens for a reason, but I just can't figure out what the reason for this could be; unless it is to wake us all up and to try to make this world a more loveing world.
