Question of the Week: 15 - 11/13/2000

What are YOU Thankful For?

As we get together with family and friends at this time of the year (and at every time of the year), which people do you want to thank for making a meaningful difference in your life? (Why not surprise someone and thank him/her/them publicly right now and right here?) What lessons that came your way turned out to be blessings in disguise? How do you demonstrate your gratitude to the Earth and/or to your Gods/Ancestors for their continuing guidance and blessings?

I am most thankful for The Witches Voice and other sites like it, who post not only news of Pagans and the world of today, buut timely items such as "What Thanksgiving should reaally be" I don't believe most people are aware of their history and all the wrongs that were done to the Aboriginal Peoples of the World in the name of belief systems contrary to their own. I know as a Pagan Witch, explaining myself and my rituals at these times of the year can be very taxing to not only myself but to the rest of the commercial and greed-driven world. I am really thankful for everything in my life and am grateful to be able to share my traditions with the Pagan world through such web-sites as The Witches Voice. Blessed Be and thanks. Barb Vassar

| Hi!; What Is There To Be Thankful For? No Longer Being A... | Nov 19th. at 10:30:21 pm EST |

Hi!;
What is there to be thankful for?
No longer being a family man, so I can let these commercial holidays fade into the following Week as quickly as possible.
Relatives are all dying off, so I won't have to attend Mormon clan gatherings, thank the Gods!
The kid is in his 30's, so he doesn't need a big spread laid out at my place. Let him do it at his own.
I don't do the "Mall" during the holiday Season. You would be surprised how much money is left for a New Year's bash!
Being thankful I can opt out of the commercial insanity. BB Tarostar
