Question of the Week: 59 - 9/11/2001 911 America: Talking Through The Terror... Talking Through The Terror... And helping each other cope with the tragedies that struck at the very heart of the United States. The Witches Voice has opened up this forum in order that Pagans may express their thoughts on the terrorist attacks that took place in NYC and DC on September 11th. As the full realization of what happened and the toll numbers begin to come in, Americans have many challenges ahead. What are your thoughts on these incidents? How are you feeling? Feel free to post any magickal workings or other support gatherings planned in your area. I'm not sure how coherent my thoughts will be, as I know I need more time to mentally and emotionally process what happened to our country this morning. I want to help. I plan to give blood, though I have a bit of a cold right now and will wait until that passes. On a magickal level, I'm at a loss for what types of spells to cast to help. Okay, that's not totally true... I think the problem is more that I have many ideas and don't know which to follow up. I want to cast a spell to help guide the souls of the deceased. They must be very shocked right now... this kind of death tends to carry over fears and soforth into one's next incarnation. I want to send out energy to protect the country. I want to send healing energy to those who have lost loved ones. I'll be reading the board to see what other Pagans have to say. Lord and Lady help us all. Blessed Be. |

To all those with friends and family located in the New York and Washington DC areas, as well as friends and relatives serving in any capacity in the US Military, may the blessings of the Gods and Godesses be upon your loved ones on this solemn day. May the Pagan community come together to aid one another now. I am deeply saddened and angered by this senseless act. The people who did this most likely did it in the name of their god. Why harm tens of thousands of innocent people in the name of a god???? This is act is appalling and sickening. |

I'm really bummed to see that no other Witches have yet to write anything. I'm in the Los Angeles area. So I'm devastaded, scared, and feeling very helpless. Right now I'm sitting here waiting for an older pagan, someone wiser and more experienced to give some advice or words of comfort. Thank you to all who are already busy with prayer, spells, and rituals. |

Subject: [dd] Magickal Focal Point for Us in New Jersey Hello Witchkin, A very good friend of mine, Ariadne, is setting up a focal point for those wanting to do magickal work in the NYC area. She lives across the river in New Jersey and can actually see the buildings. She is setting up three candles: One for healing One for Protection One for Guardianship/Battle Stance My Warrior group is invoking Lady Liberty to guard the borders of USA. Ariadne is also placing a large, witch-blue Pentagram above her house on Astral so that the focal point can be found by Astral travellers to focus their energy. She is setting up the candles now and the Pentagram; it's 12:50 EST where we are; she needs app 30 minutes to get it all organised. So, say by 1:30 PM EST, you can start pumping energy to the location, choosing which energy you wish to contribute. Blessings and safety to all, |

TO: ALL WFN MEMBERS AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES. It is with a heavy heart that I write this message of unity and understanding today. What many had thought would happen some day has finally occurred...the people of the United States of America have been attacked as a whole nation by a group of radicals and cowards of humanity. First and foremost our sympathy and prayers go out to those who lost their lives and those who are having to deal with those losses. Words can not describe how deeply we feel for all of them and their families and friends. We light a candle in their memories and would like others to do likewise, or do whatever they feel is right for them. Second, we would urge everyone, both here in the United States of America and elsewhere in the world, to start showing a sense of unity and understanding towards all people of the human race. There may be some who would like to take matters into their own hands, and possibly target their anger towards those of an ethnic group who may represent the countries involved in this horror, but are not a part of those radical actions or beliefs. Do not harm thy brother or sister, as our ways tell us that we should not. Also, those who follow a religious belief that is like that of those who are responsible for these horrors, but do not share in the radicalness of this action, should not be harassed or harmed. America is still a free country, no matter what radical groups may throw at us...we survive...move forward and go on as a peaceful nation. We need to remember these things as we continue our lives and putting back together what has been lost...lives, infrastructure and a sense of security for all. I urge everyone to follow the course of peace and understanding in the days to follow, and beyond. Those who are responsible for these acts WILL be dealt with accordingly, but we must not act in anger as individuals. If you have knowledge that would be helpful in the investigation process, we would urge you to call the local FBI office nearest you. Terrorism has no place in the U.S., or any place else for that matter. It's actually a rather pathetic act and belief system...to harm others to prove a point, whether political or religious. We as humankind are more intelligent than this and need to focus on our intelligence as a whole. Those who seek to destroy life and liberty DO need to be dealt with, not tolerated. I think that this is the only time you will hear me say that intolerance of others has a place in the world...and that intolerance is terrorism and radicalness that seeks to destroy life on our planet. There may be those who do not agree with me...but that is how I feel. Sorry this has been so long, my friends...brothers and sisters...but I felt it had to be expressed. Now we take hold of each other's hands and walk forward in peace for the future, and safety for all. Unity and Peace...it can happen when humanity wants it to, but not until then. Yes, our military will building back up again, and for now, in this era...I would have to support such growth and protection...until that OTHER day comes when we will live in peace with our brothers and sisters...in all ways.
