Memorial to Stewart Tuesday, July 17th, 2000 at 21:31:46 (EDT)
United by your beautiful handfasting ceremony, we inspire to carry forward your great vision, ever guided by your words of love and wisdom; as will be many, many generations to come.
Bagpipe Lullabies and Sweet Dreams to you, Stewart; blow Angel Kisses to our Earthly Great Mother, Shirley Roberts, who also rests now in the Summerlands! Blessed Be! Slan,

I had no idea he had died, but I finished reading "Omega" again on the 28th and I had a mind to find out what the eight festivals were. While browsing some Wiccan sites, I saw the obituary. Thank you Stewart Farrar for focusing my thoughts once more. This is the second sign for me and perhaps I should take heed! At Solstice in June 1998, while sitting by a stone circle on Langass in North Uist (Outer Hebrides), I thought about the nature of the Triple Goddess and a great shaft of sunlight punched down out of the clouds opposite me. I think She must be showing the way but Stewart was Her first signpost.

I knew you not, but through yours and Janets writing I learned about witchcraft and witches hence more about myself. While none can replace you and none can take your place, through your work and that of others, perhaps there will be some who can take up where you left off. This is a great lost Friday, April 14, 2000 at 05:42:35 (EDT)
I'm sorry very much that you had to leave us, but I understand that we have to die anyday.
Anyway, you're now in a better place, watching us and helping us.
You took us to the correct way.
Thanks, and blessed be.

I'm sorry Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at 21:14:21 (EDT)
I'm so sorry he died. I know it sounds cheesy, but I am a young pagan (17 to be exact) and it seems as if all the great teachers of the Craft are passing away. Doreen Valiente, Scott Cunningham and now Stweart Farrar. I have read just about every book by the Farrars and I respected them and looked up to them. What's more, I felt with them. I felt connected in some way. I always hoped I would meet them. But then I was surfing Wtiches Voice and I saw the memorial to his death. At first I didn't want to believe it-just like when Lady Diana died. He could not be dead. But then I realized it was true. It was as if my heart stopped. It was a very, very heavy feeling. I knew he had been sick, but I never imagined he would die so soon. I know it was foolish of me, but I wanted him to live so that more people could meet him. My heart and spirit go out to Janet and Gavin, and I hope Stewart is in peace. Once again, I'm very sorry--I know how very hard it is to loose a loved one.
May he always be remembered and revered.

I Will Always Remember... Sunday, April 09, 2000 at 16:30:30 (EDT)
The Summer the Ferrars came to Phoenix. Their lecture circuit permitted a sojourn in the Valley of the Sun. As Faciliators of ASPEN Solitaire's Network, my spouse & I invited them to grace our home. Guests came to talk, to listen, and to partake of ceremony presided over by Janet. Stewart was a 'Merlin'...many tales to tell, very wise & kind. His keen blue eyes and gentle manner are priceless memories. I am blessed to have made his acquaintence. - Bronwynn Torgerson, MoonGrove Coven Peoria, IL.

Farewell Stewart Tuesday, April 04, 2000 at 18:19:18 (EDT)
It came as a great shock to me to hear that Stewart had embarked on his journet to the Summerlands because although I have not seen him in several years, he was one of those people that seemed like he would always be there, working away at his computer to further the scope of the modern craft. Travel well my friend, you will be missed here and I hope they can find a computer for you to work on in the Summerlands. My sympathy and condoleances to Janet and to Gavin. Blessed Be.

Goddess Bless The Sacred Soul of Stewart Farar Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at 13:20:31 (EST)
When I first heard of the passing of Stewart Farrar , I thought it a bad dream from which I would soon wake . I was sadly mistaken. While walking this living life , it is a true blessing to find someone who has wisdom and shares their vision with the world and her people who dance upon Lady Earth.... Such was the blessing afforded all , by Stewart Farrar. Those who pass away are never truly gone from us. Their spirits ride the winds and share radiance with the sun and are ever with us. Watching and lending their new powers from the other side of the veil. They now abide a place where all mystery has faded away . Sharing in the lush comfort of all knowing and all power. May the Powers of spirit bless and keep Janet and Gavin , in their loss. Powers abide and share comfort unto our community as we seek to walk this living life without the living light of this great sage....... Ahimsa, Ocean

Words are not enough in times like these but my condolences go to Janet and all who were closely related to Stewart. His presence in this world will be deeply missed but in the next the Goddess will rejoice to have him by her side.

Fare Thee Well, Bright Soul Saturday, March 25, 2000 at 15:40:30 (EST)
Stewart Farrar, along with his wife Janet, touched my life. Through them I came to the path that I now follow. They were the first authors that I read that made complete sense to me - and helped me realise that I wasn't going insane! My condolences on their loss to Janet and to Gavin.
May Stewart rest well in the Summerlands, safe in the arms of the Goddess. I know that his soul will grace the Earth once more, and bring its brightness back to the human race again.
Blessed Be Stewart.

One of the best Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at 21:27:10 (EST)
In my decade of Wiccan practice and pagan activism, few have meant more to me than Stewart Farrar. I am sure his passing has made many of us think about how he has touched us, even though he may never has met us. In NY there was a rumor that the farrar's were coming to visit here a few years ago, but it was cancelled because of Stewart's Health. I wished him well. It is important that we not forget his teachings, and that we learn his lessons. As they are now available to us all. May his journey in the summerland be pleasant. And merry part to you, may we say merry meet again.

Goodbye, and see you in the next life. Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at 14:59:08 (EST)
I saw Stewart and Janet in Toronto in the mid-90's when they were conducting seminars in the Western Hemisphere.
Stuart, I am sad to see you go, but I know that we'll meet again in the next life. Your spark of life will never be extinguished.
Rest now, in the Summerlands, and come back to us when you are refreshed and energized.
With my most humble thanks, I beg you to accept my simple offerings of Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Spirit.
May we meet again.

Perfect Trust and Perfect Love, Merry Meet Again. Monday, March 20, 2000 at 19:33:17 (EST)
The phrase perfect trust and perfect love are put to a test when a loved one dies, yet this time it is a valued Elder within our own collective community, part of our faith family. Some of us didn't have the chance to meet Stewart. We cling to the part of our faith that sings 'merry meet again.' My sympathy goes to his family, Janet and Gavin, who must remian behind for a while longer.
Stuart, may the Goddess keep you in her arms, may the Summerland be a joyful place of reunion with the other Elders who have passed over before us all, may you occassionaly seek us when the time is right.
We held a small wake for you in my home too. We put pictures of you up. We read from your books, your bio, and we rejoiced your life.
Time is always too short. Blessing to you Stewart, Janet, and Gavin, may the Goddess keep you all in her heart and the Gods keep you in their care.

A Wonderful Spirit Passes On... Saturday, March 18, 2000 at 21:22:35 (EST)
I met Mr. Farrar at a lecture in 1996 in Connecticut, along with Gavin and Janet. A wonderful man. I used some of his writings in my Wiccan Wedding. May his passing on to the Summerlands be joyful and may Janet and Gavin and all of us behind remember his lessons and love and find strength to move on in his absence. May the Goddess Bless you my dear Wiccan Brother. Blessed Be until we Merry Meet Again. Akasha

To the ends of the Earth Saturday, March 18, 2000 at 20:15:50 (EST)
I wish to participate in the Celebration of the life of Stewart Farrar. His contribution to Paganism, the Great Mother and humanity itself cannot be measured, as his work together with his beautiful Priestess-wife has spread to the four corners of the Earth. I am doubly indebted to him, firstly for his work in general on the Old Religion, and secondly for giving me back my Irish-Celtic heritage, stolen from my ancestors by the Roman conquerors. Australia is about as far away from Pagan Ireland as you can get, in terms of both time and geography , and yet Stewart Farrar's love, knowledge, and scholarship have torn down those barriers of time and space. I will be eternally indebted to him.

We will miss Stewart! Monday, March 13, 2000 at 17:17:38 (EST)
We met Stewart, Janet, and Gavin August, 1996 when they came to Texas to visit. We met them at the Enchanted Forest, Ft. Worth, Texas. We all went to a wonderful dinner together and took pictures and had a wonderful time. We can never forget! We all felt SO HONORED. I treasure the pictures we took, all of us together. These special pictures will forever remain on our mantle. The world is a better place because of Stewart and his kindness. His teachings for millions world wide will be cherished. His spirit will live on in so many of us. Our hearts go out to his beautiful wife, Janet and his good friend, Gavin. We light special candles and say prayers each dawn for all of you. Be comforted that Stewart was loved by so many and can never be forgotten by any of us. Blessed Be, Gypsy & Dee Hendrixson, Ft. Worth, Texas LOVE YOU!!!

A Bright Star In My Life Sunday, March 12, 2000 at 08:54:07 (EST)
I don't think words can express my grief about Mr.Farrar's passing. Even tho I have never met him or his wife, they made a huge impact on my life. I was in about 17 when I read his book "What Witches Do",and it told me I wasn't insane from all the "calling" Goddess did to bring me to her. It made me feel normal and more connected with life and the people around me. It lead me to wicca/ witchcraft, and it has been my home every since. I am now 29 years old,a solitary, but I teach wicca, meditation and other things, but I can honest say that if it wasn't for the teacing of the Farrar's I would not be here today. Thank you so very much for touching my life and giving me hope. May the Goddess cradle you forever in her loving embrace.
Blessings and Love,
Rita Cuckovich Hinton,WV
