It is my great priviledge to announce the raising of Cerridwen Kwan Yin (Angela Wheeler) and Erin Righ (Jason Currie) to 2nd Degree in the Pagans for Peace tradition, just following Imbolc.
Erin Righ has served as Summoner, acting in the capacity of High Priest in all but name, in the Coven of the Sun, Moon and Star for more than a year; has run the Okanagan Pagans Group email list for several years, has been an active force in Okanagan Pagan Pride Day for the past three years, generously donating much time and effort, and has quietly supported his Priestess in all her endeavours and many projects without asking for any kind of personal notice or recognition, for a very long time.
Cerridwen Kwan Yin has been an active organizer in the South Okanagan Pagan community for several years, has actively supported Pagan Pride for three years and is currently the Okanagan Valley Local Coordinator, runs Penticton Pagan Coffee Cauldrons once monthly, and has been a moderator for the OKPG email list for several years. She is well known as a friendly face and a guiding hand in the Pagan community of the South Okanagan.
Both Initiates are in training for ordination in the Congregationalist Wiccan Association of BC; the work they have put into their individual congregations, writing rituals, providing leadership and inspiration, and selflessly supporting the work and fellowship of others, is truly worthy Work of the Lady and Lord.
It was my honour to serve as Priestess for Maphis 3rd as he elevated Cerridwen Kwan Yin, and to perform Erin Righ's elevation as Maphis assisted me. The event was attended by several supporters and well-wishers from the local community, though only Grunnar 3rd witnessed the rite itself, as befits the Mystery.
