Allanna Ruth Linville, formerly of the Phoenix, AZ Pagan community, slipped into the arms of the Goddess in Austin, Texas on 3/5/12.
Decades of ill health had confined Allanna to a convalescent home in Texas. Prior to his death several years ago, Allanna was the hearth mate and beloved companion of Robert Osmond (Ozzie) . Allanna, who chose the Craft name Mare' after being gifted with one perfect sea shell on a rocky California beach, was an active presence in the Phoenix, AZ pagan community for many years.
Despite her frail health, Allanna still managed to pen beautiful song lyrics, some of them uniquely pagan in nature. One of her best loved songs is The Lady's Grace, lyrics entrusted to this writer and long-time friend:
The Lady's Grace
The Lady's Grace will shine on thee,
The Lady's Grace alone.
At last thy soul shall know sweet peace
As the Lady leads thee home.
In a place that knows no pain or hate,
She takes thee by the hand.
Thy spirit is at last set free
In the Summerland.
And in joy we'll meet again someday,
And in joy we shall embrace,
For no power can break the bonds of love
In Her amazing grace.
